Talking Your favorite Muppet

So i hear its the 50th anniversary of the Muppets...I didnt know they'd been around that damn long. I remember the Muppet Show as a staple of our re-run watching when I was growing up in the early 80s.

I like Gonzo 'cause he's always trying to seduce chickens. Dr. Teeth is cool 'cause he was based on Dr. John. And Statler & Waldorf, the two grumpy old men in the balcony are always funny...Lew Zealand just for the fact that he throws boomerang fish.

Anyway...so who's your favorite Muppet and why?

Animal drove me absolutely insane. *shudder*

Now the "Muppet Babies" theme song is stuck in my head.

I've always liked Bunson and Beaker...you can't separate those two.

So much for my theory. Although Animal looks like Mick more than Keith. Especially the crazy eyes.

Nor I! Any idea what the first appearance of a Muppet was? I always thought Kermit was the first, and that he debuted on Sesame Street in the late 60s.
