If I could only listen to ONE song of hers for the rest of my life then I would have to pick the one I never tire of (drum roll).....Edge of 17. Yes, yes, we all know it well, maybe TOO well, but that opening guitar hook gets me everytime, it revs me up! Love it. Oh, and the live version where she inserts "I said yeah, yeah" after the "ooh, baby, ooh's" is f*cking fierce.

Wow, this is my first time in this thread and the first answer is "Twisted." I love this song too, probably my favorite of all her songs. For me it was the start of Stevie coming back into her own again. And like you said, I love it for many reasons also, too personal to share.

to name a few ....

Twisted (personal fave)

Stand Back (the song that really introduced me to Stevie)

Destiny Rules (how could this not be on anyone's top ten list?)

Gypsy (beautiful)

Alice (love the soft velvety sound of Stevie's voice and I love that Stevie is singing to her grandma, telling her it's ok to go "I'm going back ..... Alice, Aliiiiiiice"

Everybody Finds Out (great rock song)

Goodbye Baby (it doesn't get any better than this)
