Thanks, Christy... but that's from the black & white, Nightclub segment. I'm talking about the sepia-toned scenes, where Stevie's walking amongst the poor folk, wearing that sweater and the little hat. I've never been able to find Christine in that section of the video (Lindsey's leaning against a wall, as Stevie passes by, and John is sitting on the runnerboard of the truck in the foreground, rubbing his nose. And then Mick is on the flatbed of a truck that pulls up).

Exclamation Oh!

Sorry about that!! I'll have to watch it more closely, as I don't remember Lindsey or Christine in those scenes either. LOL

ETA: BWAH! Never even noticed Lindsey in his cute 1920's (30's?) outfit and hat leaning against the wall. I'd have to go watch it on the big screen to find Christine, if she's there. There are quite a few ladies in that scene. I see John and Mick plain as day.

I've always loved this video. It kind of sums out Stevie's mystique or something. Anyway, maybe seeing it when it first came out vs. now makes a difference. It does seem kind of cheesy by today's standards.

Yeah, and don't Christine and Lindsey look thrilled to be sitting in Stevie's fantasy world in the last segments of the vid?

For the record I also love this video.

I think Gypsy and Hold Me are both great videos. I'd give the slight edge to Gypsy though as my all-time favorite.

Gypsy is one of my favorite videos for sure. Just when she runs out into the rain to sing, probably my favorite part of the song... She just seems...sad? Heartbroken? I dont know...but there's waves of emotions in it.

Exactly! Well said! It's bittersweet...that's the word!

Oh, man..... this is good stuff.

Stevie's vocal is---- indescribable???? (It's that good ). The whole intro to the video is greatness. The lace, the curtains, the flowers, the mirrors, the clutter... I always wanted that room to be my bedroom. And then they move into the heart-breaking sepia late 20's/early 30's. Stevie looks absolutely fantastic in that hat, dress and sweater. Sauntering to the beat of the music and turning and smiling. And then with her hands on the lamppost, her eyes lowering towards the ground in wistful sadness. Then dancing with Lindsey (and you can just feel the sparks between them). Then running out into the rain and screaming to the heavens.

I love how she boogies and smiles in the end Enchanted Forest scene.

Damn. When Stevie is good, she is really good. This video just floods my mind with memories of high school, unrequited love and the insatiable, unquenchable thirst for good music. I was ravenous.

Dammit, Stevie- please release another solo album.... Please?

Looks like no one can find Christine in the sepia-toned scenes. I always thought I was overlooking her somehow, but she must not be there after all.
Weird!

I can hear the conversation now, "Hey -- I had to trudge through the hot desert in pounds of chiffon and platform boots, carrying a huge, massive painting in our last video... so the two of you are gonna sit and sing in my Enchanted Forest, and you're gonna like it!"

Gypsy, to me, is THE (mac) video
