I'd love to hear some of these too. I have bits of conversations from demos and outtakes, and some of them are hilarious! I love when Chris attempts singing Stevie songs. Rhiannon and Dreams are pretty disasterous with those high notes, but funny as hell.

One of my personal favourites are rehearsals of Gold Dust Woman from one of the Rumours rehearsals... Mid-way through, around the 3 minute mark there's an instrumental break, and all you hear from Chris is this loud "UNH!!"
One really must wonder what was going on. LOL. I think Stevie laughs a little afterward. It sounds kinda hot, though.

If I understand GypsySongbird & what boot she's referring to, this isn't conversations from any demos & outtakes. This is private stuff. Mick had his tape recorder running. Several times, Chris tells him to turn it off. They're from 1978 & 1981. It's kind of voyeristic.

It's a bootleg labeled "Conversations". Mick had his tape recorder going in 1978 & 1981. I have no idea at all why he did this. There's some discussion about Lindsey's spinal tap back in the summer of 1978 & there's a smaller bit from around 1981, probably when they were working on Mirage. They discuss Stevie's friend who would eventually die of leukemia.

I think they also talk about everyone partying in Christine's room (I beleive Bob Welch is mentioned) and Stevie is chuffed because she says she was "bored stiff" in her room watching television and why didn't anyone ask her to come? They are a hoot. If this CD is tracked, I'll see if I can find it and post some of them.

I don't think it was Bob Welch. I think it may have been a photographer who was in Christine's room - Sam Emerson, maybe. Stevie talks non-stop through the tape, by the way. The whole thing is very funny and very strange.

Everything on my CD is on just a few tracks...they're very long. That's why I didn't post them, as I have dial-up.

I do remember them talking about Sam Emerson. I might be getting them mixed up. I found the disc and the first track is only five minutes long but the second is 40 minutes. So I'll post the first one where they are talking about Hold Me. And yes, Stevie is just yakking away.

Yikes, listen to the loud cutting of lines! I used to live with a coke dealer, (till I got her out of my hose) and that sound is like nails on a chalkboard...or, you know, a razor blade on glass. ;^)

This is fascinating. thanks so much for postin, and I am really looking forward to more! The only other recording like this I have ever heard is that one where Stevie is talking about the roses for Sara.

Why can I picture her dancing around (Elaine dance, maybe?) as she says this?

And Chris, the mediator, as always. "Nonononooo, Steeeeeeevie, listen! I'll do the song for yooou, you do the song for meee"

I heard the line cutting, too. *snickers*

This reminds me of those Beverly Vance conversations-- Anyone heard those? Now THOSE were whack. Especially Mick's rambling to the drum track for like, three hours.
