Default Time to Shop!

Wish me luck. I'm off to Target to get a Game Boy Advance for Sara. They have 'em for $68.88. I'm meeting my mom and grandma there. I think they're already at JCPenney's... they open at 5 AM. You should have seen the 3 of us yesterday... hovered around the card table with 2 sets of ad's, planning our strategy... we have to be here at 5... this sale ends at 11... so funny... Anyhow, I'll let you all know if I find some killer deal today! Happy shopping!

if i was buying presents this year, i'd be right out there with you. a few years ago, we left out house at 3:30 so we could wait for PS2 and a tv. we ended up saving like $500 because we got there early, though some had been camped out all night. last year i got a Game Cube with extra controls and Mario Kart for $99, and then Donkey Konga + the drums for $40. can't beat that.

Balck Friday is more enticing if you are shopping for kids or are in the market for big electronics, otherwise, i don't get why a person would wake up at 3:30 to wait in line for the cheap CDRs.

let us know what you came home with, i love sale stories...

Good Luck! I have to work so I won't be going anywhere. I heard on the radio that people were waiting in line at the stores since yesterday afternoon. Insane if you ask me.

I'll be shopping next week, when I have a 4 day off stretch from work.

I'm off to San Fran today with a friend to do some shopping...

But why oh why am I going? Why do I do this **** to myself?

Most of my xmas gifts are already bought, some already wrapped, others will arrive shortly in those little smiling Amazon.com boxes. The tree went up yesterday. I don't need to go to Frisco. I don't want to go to Frisco.

Damn it I am such a push over when my friends ask me "Please can you come too." Ugh.

I wanted to head out to Target today myself, they had digital cameras for $89.00, but I haven't made it there yet, so I doubt I will be. I'll end up paying ridiculous mall prices later.

I went out shopping today but I only bought things for me, me, me. We all have to work both Christmas days, at least, everybody I usually celebrate Christmas with, so we decided not to exchange gifts this year. So, after 8 months of not being able to financially, I finally went out and bought clothes. Gypsy style is totally back in fashion here, so I had a blast picking out all kinds of Stevie-esque outfits.

Things are crazy here though. My city is so close to both the German and Belgian border, we have A LOT of foreigners shopping here, cause apparantly, we are cheaper when it comes to a lot of things. They made it easier for them to come here, since we all now have the same currency. Damn Euro.

I didn't bother going.

My mother called me at the asscrack of dawn to see if I was going, I told her I didn't feel like it and that she had to pick up Arrested Development for me. Hopefully she did.

I finished all my Christmas shopping today. And I have wrapped everything! I didn't doorbust though. I set my alarm for four in the morning and when I woke up I was like "Nothing is worth this!" So, I went back to bed and started shoppping at 10 in the morning. I got some great deals on some DVDs and CDs at Walmart, since they were price matching today.

I don't regret sleeping in though because when I looked at the ads yesterday there really wasn't anything that great. Just some little things for cheap, like the new Kenny Chesney CD, which I got for my Mom for five bucks with a free bonus DVD! So that was a good deal. I also got my sister the Meet the Falkers DVD for only a few dollars. And I got her the Desperate Housewives Dirty Laundry board game. I got a bunch of other stuff too, which I've already wrapped!

What an exhausting day though! I am so glad that I have pretty much finished my Christmas shopping.

I didn't finish. I got some great deals at Target on Sara's toys. Except the GameBoy. Boy, was I mad about that. That's why I was up so early, and I was one of the first to be back there, and they had already sold out. I said something like "what... did you have 5 at that price???" So, my mom and grandma were across the street at Best Buy. Plan B. Best Buy had the second best deal going on them. So, I'm jumping in the car and running over there, calling mom and telling her to get the Game Boy. Well, she was in line, and the line was like waiting for a ride at Disney. It intertwined all through the store, and mom was in it for over an hour. Anyhow, mom was just getting ready to check out, and I finally got a GameBoy to her, and she got it to the register in time. Thank God. I didn't want to wait in that line... I would have been mad. Then we went to Menards. Grandma wanted to do her shopping there. I found a DVD recorder there for $79.99. So, Merry Christmas to me! We went to Kohl's... they had good deals on bath towels. Anyhow, I got a lot of my big and important things out of the way.

I was watching the news and it turned out to be black and blue friday. People were trampled and this poor black lady was knocked down and her wig fell off.

That was unbelievable. There was also video of a 73 year old woman getting trampled and 5 other shoppers wrestling one guy to the ground over a laptop.

Sales always remind me of that episode of The Simpson with the Funzo toy, and the toy execs are sitting in the hot tub going "I'll sleep more comfortably fter I've seen some head trampling"

I'll be on a bit of a budget this year, so it will be interesting how resourceful I can be!! I actually enjoy being out in the Christmas season in the malls, if nothing else than the piano players that appear in some stores. I just love watching that.

I am disgusted by some of the stuff I have seen. Elderly people getting stepped on and run over. How sick is that! I think people went a little too far this year! I clipped the picture of the elderly woman getting trampled. I thought that was just over the top.
