chinese food is a little greasy for me (strangely) but I'll still eat it.

Sara insists we live on it. I'm getting tired of it personally. But I love some crab rangoon and fried dumplings.

I understand... my treadmill is sitting right behind me. My Gazelle is in my bedroom. Both have an inch of dust on them...

Have you ever had the tiramisu cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory? Drooooooool....

Here's my famous sweet potato casserole recipe:

2 lbs. mashed sweet potatoes
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
4 tsp. cinnamon
nutmeg and ginger to taste
4 eggs
1 1/2 sticks margarine, melted

Mix ingredients - bake in greased casserole for 20 min. at 350.

Add topping:

1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup crushed corn flakes
1 - 8 oz. can crushed pineapple
4 Tbls. margarine, melted
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Bake an additional 10 minutes

If it appears a bit jiggly when you take it out of the oven, don't worry, it will thicken up after a few minutes. I make this every year and it always gets rave reviews!

How weird, when I was little my mom told me what we would be eating.
You shouldn't let her have all that MSG. Sesly.
And my comment does not apply to crab dumplings, which can be eaten whenever you want.
BTW, you could make some good rice/chicken breast/veggie stir fry at home in a cinch.... Get a jar of teryiaki sauce, or some sesame oil...Mixed veggies in a bag...(cheap!) and god, rice is soooo cheap.
Sorry, I couldn't help but say all that.

That sounds really good. I can put a line of marshmallows around the edge, right? yeah?

Since I'm just staying home for TG, I'm actually tempted to try and cook the awesome recipes people have posted.
So - can everyone pray I don't catch myself on fire or poison myself? Thx.

Well, tonight, it was my idea. Whenever I ask her where she wants to go, Chinese is always the answer! Usually, I try to cook, because it's the right thing to do. But, I wasn't in the mood tonight.

Do you have any good Vietnamese or Lebanese restaurants in your area?

Aw. I was sort of teasing.
That's sweet, we only ate out about once a month when I was little. It's nice to go out and eat. It's a "treat".
(we always went to get personal pizzas at "the first of the month" )

I know you were... it's cool!

I need to only eat out once a month, but it turns out to be once a week. Sometimes, the single mom routine gets overwhelming, and going out is all too convienent. My mom even rags me about how much we eat out, and says I give her too big of portions. I let her eat what she's comfortable with. No more, no less. Is it good? Probably not. But, I am a work in progress. My smoking habit was first to go, and next is my eating habits. Time and will power......

Of course not, dear. I don't cook, everyone else in my fam does it.
but I printed it out. To be honest, nowadays I can usually not get any extra food besides sustenance. But once in awhile I can, so maybe I'll give it a spin. I like spumoni better, though...
Thank you.
