Isn't Sparky a wonderful writer?

It truly is a beautiful (if sad) little tale, Sparko Darko.

He is, and there are in fact several very good writers on this board.

(she says, offering neither examples of good writers, nor good writing herself)
Time for bed, my brain is oatmeal. This day should have ended when it sucked 6 hours ago.

Anyway, perhaps you should write a script.
I agree. The imagery of that moment... it is poingnant and fascinating. I don't know anything about what its like to be gay in high school. The one person I know from my class who is gay did not come out for a long time. Even still he is flirty with women and seems to want to cover it up in mixed company. Anyway, Sparky's story is really moving. Ryan, are you an actor? I'm thinking you'll play Sparky.

I have a good friend who didn't come out until after being married to a woman for 5 years. I didn't meet him until a few years after that. I knew he was gay immediately so I don't know how he managed it! I am fascinated by the repressed thing. Do you really not know? Do you know and act like you don't? Its really none of my business but I am so curious about that. I can see why Hill would ask Brandon what went through his gay head while bashing gays. If anyone wants to chime in feel free, if not, ignore my ramblings.

"Cliques are for losers" Nice sig.

Perhaps I am too honest, I tell people how I know you guys. Now I just call it "my board" though. Only cuz no one in my real life is here so to them it is mine. Calling it "The Ledge" just sounds wrong, then I have to explain the name and junk. Too much effort!

Of course I was thinking of you.

I wanted to hammer the point home.

You can bet your ass. I have no use for the likes of you any longer. Take that missing C and shove it.
You are so Stewie Griffin. Are you sure you're not the voice for him? You know I <3 you .

I was really bummed that I missed MoDo. I watched for a little while last night after that vapid Ryan Seacrest/Nicole Ritchie thing but I ended up changing the channel. There was just too much bad news yesterday.

The most I ever said to him about it was when I tossed him that little piece of the heart at the end of a particularly serious night. Then about 2 days before graduation, he walked up to me behind this one building where we always used to meet. I was sitting by myself looking at my own piece of the same heart, which I always had on. I had taken it off and was staring at it and was of course thinking about what the hell I was going to do in two days. I was kind of upset and mad at him - for what I don't know. Probably because I knew it was over. That part of our lives was simply going to be over and there was nothing anyone could do about it. He asked me what I was doing and I remember just shaking my head and refusing to say anything. He saw what I was doing. All I could do was to ask him if he still had it. He knew what I meant. He produced it in a flash and said he had been carrying it with him since the night I gave it to him. I can still see what it looked like and how it caught the light. I reached out and touched it and touched his hand, and I swear to God at that second someone walked around the building and yelled our names. I don't remember who it was. But I do remember feeling like I was caught. We both pulled back our hands and stepped away from each other and everything changed. What happened next ? I have no idea. Don't know. Can't recall. I just know something broke that second. And that I sat against the wall alone until it was very late and very dark and then I walked home by myself.

Damn. Hadn't thought of that in a long time. I forgot all about that day.
And I probably better stop thinking about it.
I'm in tears. It must be the time of year or something. I was driving along in my car last night coming back from the post office and I thought of someone from long ago, another life and I just started crying.
It's a really beautiful, bittersweet story Sparks. Thank you for sharing it.
