No, it's not from Christine Perfect...

Does anyone know where this song is from? Or was it just a random live song...or am I crazy? lol

It's called "Get Like You Used To Be." Chris wrote it & recorded it with Chicken Shack on the album "OK Ken." Fleetwood Mac used to play it live at various tempi throughout the early & mid 1970s (it was recorded as a slow blues shuffle). The Nicks grouping did it in 1975 & then replaced it with other opening numbers.

I love this song, especially Christine's piano. I love this entire show. It's my favorite Fleetwood Mac video. I only have it on videotape now, but I'll be getting it(and the 1977 Japan show) on DVD in a few weeks.

By the way, for anyone who loves Christine's blues piano, get that new Chicken Shack/Blue Horizon box set. It's quite different from her keyboards after she joined Fleetwood Mac. GREAT, GREAT blues piano.

As John once said, "Unless you've heard the Chicken Shack records, you've never heard Chris play blues piano."

BTW where did you get the DVD of the 1975 show? Another ebay find?? I am jealous.

The upgraded version of the Largo 1975 DVD (with the Young Music Show from Japan 1977) was available as a bit torrent download at Dimeadozen.org in April this year. Many Mac traders (including me) downloaded it then and I'm sure you can get it from pretty much anyone. The picture quality in both parts of the DVD is outstanding, the only small problem is the FOR SCREENING ONLY" text that appears throughout the DVD. Ragandbone has been posting full quality screencaps and video clips in lower quality at the Rumours and Stevie boards. Although I have no idea of how she got rid of the "FOR SCREENING ONLY" text for some of those screenshots.

I mostly agree with John, in principle. Aside from the blues licks that surface briefly in stuff like "Rhiannon" & "Don't Stop," about the only time you can hear Chris play any blues is when somebody has broken a string or something's out of tune or she's warming up for "Songbird" ... then she plays "Jumpin' at Shadows."

Incidentally, "Get Like" is the same type of piano playing as "Don't Stop."
