I really, REALLY don't get this. WHY would you want turkey, salmon, mashed-potato flavored soda- why? I don't even like salmon flavored salmon, let alone salmon flavored soda. Sorry, but I think the world has gone nuts.

That is so weird. I can't imagine what it would taste like.. I'd like to try, actually. Like a bubbly salmon gravy? Very strange.
Then again, I read this recipe somewhere for chicken in coca cola, which is supposed to be delicious. Huh?

You're right, Mari. But cola marinating chicken doesn't sound as bad as chicken in the cola, for some reason.

I couldn't think of the marinating word (it's the same as in Dutch, dumb) Uh yeah, as long as we all understand each other

Actually it is pretty good. If you throw in some fajita spices you can marinate beef or chicken in it. I used to make fajitas that way and they were pretty good. It tenderizes the meat as well.

Kind of, yes. It depends on what kind of spices you use with it. It has that sweet/spicy kind of taste.

I've marinated chicken in maple syrup. Now that makes for some sweet tasty chicken.
