I just realized how incredibly embarrassed I would be if I were her kids. I mean, now more than ever. I can't imagine they weren't embarrassed before. That poor
dancing one, I can't imagine the taunts at school tomorrow...

Keep in mind, they lived in Pontchatoula (spelling?), meaning her house and life probably got fairly wiped out by Katrina. I bet she blames the entire hurricane on her taking that blood money from the devil!!!!!

Poor little fool...(oops, not little)

Haven't seen anyone mention this: Anyone wanna lay bets on how long Jeannie ("normal wife") and her husband's marriage will last? They seemed kind of dysfunctional and not loving towards each other. She was SO quick to blame him when she had only heard Margaret's side of the story....and he seems like such a nice guy. As she said in week one, "well, I like to argue and disagree with him" How sad....

I would certainly drink if I was married to that.

I thought the same thing...her house is probably gone and she blames it on herself for accepting the DEVIL'S MONEY...

I do feel sorry for her though. To be so brainwashed and so misguided by religion. It is nice to have beliefs, no matter what they are....but to be so closed minded as that woman is, she will never grow as a person....how sad.

Ewww...that is gross...are they really cholesterol deposits?

I think money should have been allocated to remove those...although I can not imagine the family telling the woman, "well, yeah, my mom is all messed up, she has nasty little bumps all over her eyes that really need to be removed, she is as big as a cow and has always wanted gastric bypass surgery and she has a huge gap between her teeth. please just allocate all the money to her so we don't have to look at her anymore."

I noticed that she hugged the kids and not him when she came home.

And he's such a dead-ringer for Richard Lewis that it's eerie. I was half expecting him to try to sell us Boku at any minute.

When Margaret was interviewed on the radio here, she said that their house only had minor roof damage from Katrina.

What a let down - 45 minutes of commercials and only a couple new phrases in the meltdown scene.

Are you drunk, Tiff? What sort of drinking game did y'all end up doing?
Hehe. Shots for every "Christian," "dark-sided," or "tainted!!1."

God, what a crazy, ignorant woman. She was so awful the entire time. I feel bad for the other family. Jeannie did all these nice things and bonded with her kids, and Marguerite/Margaret/whatever didn't try to do anything with her's except convert them. I love how at the end, during her meltdown when she's trashing the other family, her husband is like "That's bullsh*t Margaret."

Oh, and if Jeannie's marriage is going anywhere, I'll take her husband . He was such a sweetie!

-- thanks -- I was wondering what he said.

(I could not tell because they put the de-focus circle over his mouth and I couldn't hear what he said. )

I thought the same thing, on both counts. The way her family was looking at her flipping out, you knew they didn't share her close-minded beliefs. The husband also said, "Even if they're Jewish, they'd still believe in God." At least he knows the difference between "God" and "Jesus."

Remember last week when that neighbor/friend at the party asked "So, do you believe in "God" or do you believe in a "higher power"?" I would have loved to have asked her, "So, are you drawing a distinction between God and a higher power???? I thought God WAS a higher power!!!"

You're right -- the other husband seemed like such a sweet guy. Intelligent, sensitive, open-minded. Seems like a good catch!!!!!
