It could have been because SDMHA was a bigger hit & that got plenty of exposure on MTV. Maybe they figured "why bother" with the Edge one? It's not exactly a great video.
It is pretty cool when it is just La Nicks singing and the inverted effects of her dancing. As for the other stuff, it is very much the same as all the videos of that era. Interestingly, videos got better in a very short period of time a la Gypsy, Hold Me, etc. I remember the artists all complaining about even having to make videos at all and many considered it beneath them. In the Molly M. interview, which was in like 85, La Nicks said something like FM never had to make videos to sell millions of records, etc.

That represents the aborted babies & Stevie's pernicious id.

Default Off topic...

Just had to say, Strand, I love your sig/avatar. Suzanne is the best character on that show.
Except for Bernice.

ummm - she never said that did she? I think she just said there was a second video and gave no reason other than it did not turn out like she wanted - but maybe she did say that and I just do not remember

Yeah, me too although I'm like Charlene (or however you spell it LOL) a lot too. Sort of a dumb blonde.

The doll is uhhmm - errr -
*blush* a symbol of "innocence."
Her Uncle? John Lennon? Well, YEAH but -
there's more.
I've found it very interesting that people from my age group
"got" this song right away - what it's really about -
but people who were born later sometimes somehow don't, in general.
(i.m.o.) <------------ Feeble attempt to prevent getting
flamed at
Same thing seems (in general) to be true of "Shock the Monkey"
by Peter Gabriel. Maybe both were just "Eighties Things,"
and made more sense in the time frame they were written.
