I'd much rather be a member of the right minority than the wrong majority.

It's just a shame that "conservatives" aren't the majority, as much as you like to think they are.

It's seemed to me that the really zealous conservatives have always screamed the loudest, dont you think?

Well that's good, right? What was that quote...about when you are part of the majority you know you are in the wrong...or something to that nature.

Well, yes. And - stop acting like it is in there for any other reason and was innocuous in its intent. It wasn't. Thus, it fails the Lemon test.

I don't recall any democracy being involved when the phrase when sandwiched in there in the first place.

Take note, though, Brown Eyes. Here is another wonderful instance of how you epitomize hypocrisy. On the one hand, you seem to think that liberals try to solve all of their problems through legal action, as opposed to "the democratic way." (I wasn't aware that our court system was not part our democracy, but I assume you mean through voting, though I'm not sure why something like the Pledge of Allegience would ever be a matter of voting, but now I'm just getting off-track.) On the other hand, for the past several weeks, you have been farting "Impeach Bush!" in every direction - you elected him "the democratic way," but now that he's proved to be just as incompetent as you've always feared, you want the law to remove him on "whatever" grounds somebody can dream up.

I don't expect you recognize this as blatant hypocrisy. That would require actual thought and consideration of the issues at hand. But feel free to offer up some utterly meaningless catchphrase, followed by your favorite cheerful emoticon of the moment.

Like W's election.

Like the Calif. Legislatures recent pro gay stance which Arnold vetoed.

Maybe you think black people should still be in the back of the bus until the Legis. stopped that cr*p.

On edit - you never did answer my question, which was why is it so important for you to have the government enforce your Christian ideals? Do you feel lessened in your faith if it does not?

I also found it amusing when the religious zealots were calling for Jeb's head when he wouldnt blatantly break the law to inervene in the Terry Schiavo case.
