Minorities are conditioned to rely on the government. I have a friend who works for one of my local news stations, and is recently back from NOLA. He called me and told me not to send one dime to the Red Cross! He said that most of the people down there are fifth generation welfare recipients...and they didn't want to WALK DOWN THE STREET to the Red Cross for ANYTHING! They wanted them to bring it straight to them. There are HELP WANTED signs everywhere in businesses opening up...but they don't want that! They want the government to do everything for them!

So, what about the coutless white people on welfare?

Also, you know nothing of welfare and need to research the issue, which you will never do outside of listening to idiots who would not know the truth if it bit them. I mean the above asinine post is dispositive of that. Are you really saying all welfare rec. black people are like that? If so, I know many who are working in NOLA right now for $9.00 per hour and are being bused in from Lafayette and back each day. Yet, all you in your ignornace can see is the small percentage who are like you said. That is why you are ignorant.

I don't understand the need/want to identify yourself with a particular group (i.e. Democrats and Republicans, etc.) because you are putting yourself in a box. Why not look at things with an open mind to judge everything for yourself instead of saying "Well, I'm a Republican, so I must believe this." I hate this two party crap we have in this country. It divides us just like racism, sexism, etc.
