It's an older film with no one I know. It is unavailable as of yet on DVD. I do have a copy of it on VHS (Not sure if that is still in print).

Here's some info on it:

I usually watch horrors with a pillow on my face , so I can't really say which is my favourite. Among scary movies in general my favourite is Funny Games by Haneke, it's one of the few films that made me feel like in a shrinking cage.

"And this rich, highly imaginative Gothic chiller is essential viewing for fans of intelligent terror." Hmmmmmm....I'm going to have to find this one.

Even though I love scary films, I do know my limits, and sometimes I have to do the same thing.

I friggin' LOVE Joy Ride!! Wasn't expecting it to be as funny as it was.

"Candy Cane...."

Heh.

I remember when I was little, watching a movie on TV with my mom about these people that lived in this house and they couldn't get out. When they opened the doors/windows, there was no way out...like something in front of the doors/windows. Anyways, I remember them being really hot (sweating, I mean, not sexy hot. LOL) and at the end of the movie, we find out they live in a doll house that's inside of a box or whatever. Anyone remember seeing any type of movie like this? It could have been a made-for-TV movie.

it seems to have been a fairly popular theme as there are a few "hands of Orlac" movies made (a piano player who loses his hands and has the hands of a killer grafted on, then goes on killing sprees)
The Michael Caine movie was made in the mid-80's and the movie I remember was made during black and white television era....
Hmm, no- I definitely remember the hand itself crawling around killing people. Let me look online and see what I can find.

I looked this one up and it's too late- 1981. I saw MY hand movie when I was just a little thing, probably in the mid to late 70's.

Nope you were right the first time.

The Beast with Five Fingers
An invalid concert pianist dies, leaving a will that does not include his personal secretary Hilary Cummins (Peter Lorre) as a beneficiary. Furious, the left-out yes-man cuts off a hand from the corpse and plots revenge. Unfortunately for Hilary, the hand inherits a life of its own and relentlessly stalks the wild-eyed Lorre as he flees in vain. Special effects keep the audience jumping as they dread the next appearance of this gruesome walking hand.

Oops, it was irishgirl who came up with that one.

Steve Zahn (Fuller) who plays the brother who starts teasing the trucker on the CB, pretending to be a sexy woman is hilarious!

"How bout cha, C a n d y C a n e". The ending......WOW!

Well, mine would be the first Halloween movie. I think it's because that's something that could actually happen.

No, before he died 5 times. Like escaping from a mental institution and doing what he did before he was "killed"

All this Saw buzz got me thinking.

Have any of you seen 'The Cube?' It's a good one...and if so, Saw ripped it off a bit. But hey, what's new.

OMG - on par with "Howard" (1957) and "Trog" (poor Joan - she looked more frightening than the gorilla like thing )
