Demo questions...

I read in The Complete Recording Sessions that a demo of Juliet from TOSOTM was recorded by Fleetwood Mac during the TITN sessions, but I can't find it. Also, are there any other demos of What Has Rock'n'Roll Ever Done For You? The one I have sounds like one of those crappy demos Stevie did with her mates, rather than a full-on FWM rock out. Does anyone have any Bella Donna demos of Gypsy? Oh, and the version of Rhiannon currently posted at Sararhiannon... what's that all about? When does it date from? On the lyrics, it says it's an 'early demo', but Stevie's voice sounds like it's in its Bella Donna phase. And what's with her pretending to have a conversation with Lindsey? It's so weird!

If I were you, I wouldn't depend on the Lewry book to answer those questions you have. Most of the book is based on unofficial information -- mostly the opinions of fans. Educated guesses & assumptions that had circulated loosely among the fan base for years (& have since been revised or thrown out entirely) are reprinted as official fact.

As David said, a lot of the dates come from guesses made by fans. Of course, some of them are obvious. The "birds rising" Rhiannon, I think, speaks for it self. I think she's been smokin' the peace pipe. Again.
I like it, though-- She sounds SO out of it. Especially when she's like "... the rustling... okay?"

I have many demos of Gypsy, but I'm not sure if they are all from the time of BellaDonna.
