At some point this summer I downloaded OTR from the above mentioned show, and was really really amazed at what a great performance it was. I just now listened to a few other songs from that evening and HOLY COW...jeez, she was doing some great singing that night. Overall, I think this was a very well sung tour based on my own experience in Mansfield and based on hearing other shows, but this philly show had to have been a standout performance. Are there any folks that went to Philly and other shows that could comment?

You hit it right on the head.
I have been to many, many concerts but the Philly show was hot.
Being the first show of the tour noone new what to expect, but when Stevie slinked out during Hotel California,it was one one of the biggest moments ever,at least I thought so.

Default There was this great element of surprise

I was in the front row that night and--I kid you not, the guys came out in front of us at one point and moved another mic on stage right before Hotel California--and I just thought there was something wrong with Don's mic;-)

Then she walked on the stage and there was this huge outpouring of love and excitement and I'm sure she fed on all of it.

It was more...breathless than some of the other performances. Perhaps, because in the ones to follow--I pretty much knew what was coming next. But Hotel California sort of set the tone for the evening and kept the audience on edge in anticipation. And I think that energy fed into a lot of the performances that evening and Stevie sure met the challenge.

On the other hand, I saw Stevie solo twice in Atlantic City a few weeks later and that second performance, in particular, was probably the best solo performance (IMO) I've ever seen her do.

So, all in all, I'd say the girl done good this go round.

She was absolutely perfect and brilliant two weeks later in Detroit June 18th. The best, the most magical, and the most enchanting...

The Philly show was awesome. I loved every minute of it. Does anyone know where I can obtain a DVD copy of the show?
