It's a travesty.

Why don't I just wear a sign that says: "I have no taste, and I also feel the need to brag about things I pretend to support!" ?

Sesly, just donate your money, and quit using valuable and finite resources to make the ugliest "bracelets" ever known to man or beast.

God, the human race is lame. Those bracelets just cemented that fact for me. We could have used that "ugly bracelet making" money/resources for something much more valuable, or at least more biodegradable. Like food? For someone?

Have we become a people that thinks this is a good idea? A people who actually uses time, effort, and resources to make these ugly, meaningless bracelets?
Cause I missed that memo.
We could have donated all that to...oh, i dunno...anything????

Christ on a Crutch... I shudder at our shortsighted, shallow, moronic banality.

We should really have a "Post of the Week" award or something, because this is absolutely brilliant.

I'm glad to say I've never even owned one of those.
And yeah,

I love the irony of the gun as the last image. And I love that conservatives don't seem to think it's ironic.

maybe I'm lame, but I don't think they are so horrible. like Suze said, they were a great fundraiser idea and were fun for a while to have a symbol of the causes you support - something you can wear to show your support and know (or at least hope) the money went directly to that organization; and I think it's the fact that now you can buy them for $1 at the gas station that really ruins a lot of the effect. but like most of you agree, I think their time in the sun is long gone...

A big thank you to Amber who saved me from having to write a big long post about this, and for writing it better than I ever could.

I wholeheartedly agree, right down to my six beautiful rings I wear everyday, and all my beautiful bracelets I've so carefully chosen.

I agree with Amber. Livestrong was OK, but it's gone too far. I'd rather just donate $$$, I don't need crap to prove that I did.

You'd be hard pressed to find something that irritates me more than those fecking car magnets. I dream of infiltrating a Wal Mart parking lot and systematically ripping them off the asses of ugly cars and SUV's.

They look like hospital ID bands.

I wear a Casio ProTrek Triple Sensor solar-powered watch, with digital time, digital compass, thermometer, barometer & altimeter.

I suppose no cool car or non Wal Mart shopper has them, much less anyone's intent with them is genuine

Perhaps you would think different maybe if a gay basher was headed your way on a lonely dark alley, but thanks to Republicans who have protected your second amendment...you now have a gun! Protecting yourself is great fun...
