The world tragic comes to mind. Sounds like something I'd hear at a horrible country show and feel the need to leave the room immediately. God forbid any non-fans heard this song! I’d never hear the end of it.

Just blast your Desert Angel for them with pride then. They will become instant fans, I'm sure.

LOL

I think I have great Stevie song sense.

At least she wrote DA and RG and not the pitiful CRY WOLF. Any three year old can tell you what Cry Wolf means. I just don't like it. Can't. Won't. Yuck.

But at least we both love Kick It

One of my all-time favorites. Especially:

"YES, and I've got money
Men to love me
And acres of land..."

Also, a very fun song to 2-step to.

I love Rose Garden. I can relate to the words . . . being 32 and unmarried

I gave Rose Garden a dozen beautiful red roses. I love this song. I love the country vibe, I love the lyrics, I love the simplicity. I know the lyrics might seem trite but Stevie wrote them so long ago and they actually came true. The song makes me feel a little sad every time I hear it.

It will rarely be Stevie post 19eighty.....hrmm....6.5?

And the lyrics aren't that good either.

The whole song reminds me of something really, really, FLAT.

And the lyrics and/or the tune aren't good enough for me to tell if SOMEONE ELSE could have made it better.

I assume someone could have made it sound better,
but then I imagine that that version would have SUCKED too!

I mean, give it to Emmylou, Bonnie (Tylers and Raitts) , Dolly, Linda, Billie, Lindsey, Your Mom, The Guy Down the Road, Bette Midler, Doris Day, Shirley Muldowney, Norma Rae, Gloria, Baby Jane, and Pavoratti, - Maybe even one of the Juddsbarf, or a Dixie Chickhurl -
and it could still be crappy.
Although it could sound waaaaay better.
I think that is why her Enchanted live versions kick a$$.

Amen.

She wrote it as baby girl still going through puberty and it sounds like it.
