Of course you do. The entire point of this thread that you started was to decry her nomination because you didn't think she was conservative enough. Don't bait and switch.
Yes, I DO want a right-wing conservative on USSC...but it wasn't the point of the argument. This thread was started based on the little known facts we have of this woman and where exactly she stands. You make your "stand" that she is a TRUE conservative based on what "Dobson knows and isn't saying" which is insane. So you are right, I do care, but it wasn't the point of the argument above.

I'm alarmed by any person Shrub tries to appoint to the United States Supreme Court, don't you worry about that.
Well, you aren't alarmed for the right reasons. You are alarmed because you are a staunch liberal who would bash anyone Bush would nominate, but more than likely praise anyone that a Democratic persident would have nominated. I think it is sad that there are those who rush to defend Bush under any circumstance, like this one. And it is also sad that there are those who rush out to defend any Democrat under any circumstance. This isn't a blue/red game...this is serious and it is the Supreme Court! Gee, why didn't Bush just nominate his dog "Barney"?

I cannot fathom anyone not seeing through this sham. This nominee is a religious conservative and there is no two ways about that. I support that by noting where she worshiped in Dallas. Moreover, W has to go this route because he and Rove know they do not have the political clout to put up an Owens and the like and the bitching and complaining from the religious right is a sham as well as they know W will not out up anyone who believes in the right to privacy.

Personally, I would love for them to slam this nominee straight down W's lying throat.

Nixon's only apprehension about Rehnquist was that he wasn't as mean as all the president's men had told Nixon Rehnquist was.

Even Coultergeist is now slamming Bush for his pick, and making fun of his alcoholism while doing so.

http://www.anncoulter.org/cgi-local/welcome.cgi

Snippet:
First, Bush has no right to say "Trust me." He was elected to represent the American people, not to be dictator for eight years. Among the coalitions that elected Bush are people who have been laboring in the trenches for a quarter-century to change the legal order in America. While Bush was still boozing it up in the early '80s, Ed Meese, Antonin Scalia, Robert Bork and all the founders of the Federalist Society began creating a farm team of massive legal talent on the right....

I think it is also important to note that Ann is part of the part of the "northern conservative elites". Even though I am from the south I usually tend to flow more with the northern conservative views...

I read liberal as well as conservative sites. Just like the govt monitors all of Al Qaeda's communications (or tries to).

And I saw your Ann post - just didn't realize it was the same one. Especially since you didn't provide a link, then conveniently left out the part where she turns her fangs on Ws personal life. That's a no-no for conservatives, or didn't you read your Talking Points?

No I didn't leave any part out! I simply quoted MY favorite part. You think me, an Ann Coulter fan, would be ashamed to post a link to one of her columns? No...I fully agree with Ms. Coulter here, and she has every right to rip into Bush about this. REAL CONSERVATIVES, like Ann aren't ashamed to point out when Bush, or any other republican, is wrong.

So, you fully agree Bush is a (former?) drunk, and should be ridiculed for it? I thought we were living in the Compassionate Conservative movement.

Apparently she thinks it has affected his decision-making skills, or at the least that he was so drunk in the 80s that he didn't pay attention to how a real conservative nominee should be picked. And if that's the case, what does it say about all the decisions he made during his Governorship and Presidency?

Hey, if it is funny go with it. You just can't get upset when she says things... like this

"Out of respect for my gay male readers, I'll resist the temptation to characterize this ruling as "shoving gay marriage down our throats."

No, how in the world do you get that she was trying to say that his drinking has "affected his decision making skills"? What she was trying to show was that...while he was partying back in his "glory" days...there were those such as Ed Meese, Antonin Scalia, Robert Bork creating a farm team of massive legal talent on the right.

Yes definetely..I listen all the time..they've definetely had ups and downs in terms of ratings, but among 25-54 year olds Air America beat Bill O Reilly in the ratings... Specifically in August of this year they had a nice boost in ratings, and they have also doubled their total listening audience since it began
