It's been a while since I've read Mick's book, but I'm pretty sure Mick said the affair began while they were in Australia touring for 'Rumours,' which would have been November of '77.
I think the affair ended in early '78.

I remembered reading that it did start in New Zealand in Dec of 1977 and it lasted until the fall of 1978 when he took up with Stevie's friend Sara.
