Zuh? Dylan is constantly going out of his way to reinvent himself and his music, year in and year out. How has become anything approaching a parody? A band like Fleetwood Mac is far closer to a parody of itself than Dylan will ever be.

My friend was saying to me the other day that Dylan now sounds like someone doing a bad impression of him, you know, very nasal and the voice going high at the end of every line. I listened to a recent recording and by god he was right! That said, Dylan will always be amazing to me.

Dylan has his on-nights and his off-nights these days - the off-nights usually being the ones where he resorts to the horrible up-singing at the end of every lyric - but find a recording of a better show or give him another shot next time he's in your area. If it's an on-night, it'll be one of the best concerts you've ever been to.

How to choose between Bob and Neil, though? I don't think I possibly could.
