I think the only ex-member with less chance than Christine of playing together with John and Mick again is Danny. We're more likely to see Peter, Jeremy or even Bob Welch than we are to see Chris, I think.

Do you guys think that Mick will still attempt to convince her to tour again? Like for a farewell thing?

Yes. Mick will realize that with Christine in tow, it will be an even bigger draw, and therefore, bring in more money. Sorry. Couldn't resist that one.

I think Christine would probably do a big reunion one-off, a la what Cream did in May. I DON'T see her rejoining Fleetwood Mac altogether, nor do I see her participating in any type of tour.
As for Fleetwood Mac retiring, I don't see them doing that. I think Stevie and Lindsey really want to make more music together, and Mick and John always seem up to the task of being somebody's rhythm section. So, I'm betting we'll get at least one more album by the current incarnation. And, I wouldn't be shocked if we got a new album from Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac (though, I wouldn't be shocked if we don't). Now, if we're talking pipe dreams, I have two. One is with the reunion gig, if it happens. I'd like to see sets by Peter Green's FM, the MTM band, the "Rumours" band, a bastardized version of the BTM/Time bands (i.e. Mick, John, Christine, Billy, Bekka, & Rick), and an all-inclusive jam at the end. I'd like to see this result in a CD set that has the full live reunion show and a studio CD with new material from each singer/songwriter. In my second pipe-dream, I'd like to see a situation where Bob Welch comes back into the fold full-time. I don't know if that's what he wants, or what they want, but it would be something I'd find interesting. I think having a second guitarist with actual creative input (at least beyond that of a hired gun) could be the type of creative challenge that would be very rewarding for Lindsey.

Never say never, Christine was backstage at the last London Fleetwood Mac show(and still smoking). She had her ear piece in her ear and was ready to go, but decided not to play towards the end.
She's pretty much sticks around her house most of the time and will barely leave from what I have been told. Nothing would surprise me, she almost performed that night. |

Personally, if a concert like this were to happen, I'd want to see not only performances by each different era of Fleetwood Mac, but also some mix-and-matching. Lindsey doing some guitar dueling with Bob Weston, or Peter Green playing with Rick Vito, or Stevie singing along with Bob Welch. Quote:

This makes her sound like some sort of recluse. I thought she spent most of her time in Kent but a day or so a week at her flat in London. Gail Last edited by Gailh; 09-30-2005 at 10:06 AM.. |

I don't see Christine rejoining the band full time.
I think that she is at the age where she wants to have a little down time (semi-retirement), still make music but on her terms, and not have to do lengthy touring. I base this on the things that she has said (in the time since she left the band)in interviews that she has done. However, I do see her considering doing a (not extremely long) 40th anniversary tour or at least one big 40th anniversary show. She cares deeply about the band, and she would realize that it would be important for her to particiate. ![]()

As for being a recluse, it sounds like she does spend quite a bit of time at home but she mentioned that she gets into London on a regular basis. |

Christine I will say honorably, she bowed out gracefully instead of overstaying with something that could end up being run into the ground.
