I agree... I don't think Cindy S. has a lot to do with the current feeling in this country. I think average Americans are FINALLY waking up to the fact that they were lied to and that thousands are dying because of the lies. I think this would have happened eventually, with or without Cindy S.

BTW... there was a large anti-war protest here in Seattle over the weekend.

Interestingly, the D's must trread very carefully here as the majority of them who voted for the war and outright advocated for it have the same blood on their hands - though you may excuse them by casting some form of alleged ingnorance by them of W's eventual plans.
personally, I think people need a figurehead to rally around. You and I dont like the war but we werent getting media attention and drawing people to our cause were we? the cause needed a leader and she fit the bill. I see no problem with that.

Me either - and I am not disputing she was one. I just think she is somewhat marginalized by her attempt for broader appeal. But, time will tell

Listen Butt In Betty - you are not invited to our soiree - though Sparky is

Of course, if you wear a harlequin outfit and carry a diamond patch ball, we may reconsider

O Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen and down the mountainside
The summer's gone and all the roses falling
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
O Danny boy, O Danny boy, I love you so.

But if ye come and all the flowers are dying
If I am dead, as dead I well may be,
You'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an Ave there for me.

And I shall hear, though soft, your tread above me
And all my grave shall warmer, sweeter be
For you will bend and tell me that you love me
And I will sleep in peace until you come to me.
