That picture is GORGEOUS. There's nothing like it! So unique! I absolutely love it. I can feel the endorphins kick in whenever I see it. And that's a good thing! Now--look at them--still cute:

i think that (granted, just an opinion, and that doesnt count much) stevie truely loves/loved mick(forwhatever reason) but being for his marriage, the band, the drugs, issues with lindsey, etc... they ended it... either way... as long as they are happy now, i really dont care who slept with who... but thats just me...

What is she supposed to say?? He is her bandmate....of course she is going to say she loved him. I think she did love him but her soul mate? No way. She has also recently said that the relationship was all alcohol induced. Has Stevie actually said she considered Mick her soulmate?

BTW...in EFO...that line, IMHO, means "you", her friend, always knows when something is wrong with her. As in this man knows her better than anyone in the world, he looks at her and always knows if something is wrong. "You always know when something is wrong, My Friend" ...Lindsey.

Well, she refers to him consistently as one of the three "great loves" of her life I think the three are MF, Joe Walsh, and LB. But, who knows with her

On edit - Mick has refered to her that way:

"It was all part of the ongoing saga that makes the band unique", grins the lanky 55 year-old. "Unique even to this day, let me tell you. I went to Hawaii recently with my wife Lynn and our kids, and Stevie rented a house just down the road. My wife is a soulmate, but Stevie is a soulmate, too, and Lynn knows that. There's so much you can enjoy with that dynamic."

http://www.nicksfix.com/article_inde...ril18_2003.htm

Then again, for the TISL promos - she said this:

It must be intimidating to ask you out. It's like asking out Cinderella.

I would think it would be very intimidating for people. That's probably why most people don't, you know, because they're scared [laughs]. I figure if there's a soulmate for me out there somewhere, I'll find him. He'll find me.

http://burnish.net/articles/rs872.php

Do you get crushes?

Stevie: "Do I meet somebody every once in a while who catches my eye? Sure. Do I wanna make something out of it and then end up having to really hurt somebody's feelings on my way out the door? No. Maybe there's a soulmate out there for me and maybe someday he'll standing there. And maybe he won't be. And if I never get married I'll will be fine because I really do love my whole artistic life and I don't know how much of this I could give up for another person. Because I'm 52 years old, I'm pretty what would you say steeled in my ways. I like things the way I like them, doing things at the times I want to do them, I don't like telling people when I'm going to be back. I don't like being mad at me when I'm not on time.So how do you do that when youlive like I live? My life is just one big crazy rock show. You know? Even without all the drugs and stuff that used to go on it's still that crazy."

http://www.nicksfix.com/article_inne..._may2_2001.htm (one of my fav. interviews ever for her!!!!)

Note - the TISL stuff does not negate Mick being a soulmate as a friend as she was talking about a sexual soulmate.

Is this the new way of typing? I was just assuming you were one of the people who can't spell "Lindsey" correctly. Now I see "Buckingham" has gone its own way, too. Whatever saves you 2-3 seconds, I guess.

Dear LongBlackBarf,

I was only kidding about the mispelling in my last post. I'm sorry I don't use smilies to emphasize the sarcasm that may pepper my replies. When I was a kid, I learned to read and write without them so I tend to not care for them as an old man. Please accept my apology and know that in the future I will try to be even more sarcastic in order to help those who need it the most.

P.S. Good job with the "Go Your Own Way" pun. That was clever!

My understanding or the story I always heard was that Mick dumped Stevie, not the other way around, for her best friend, Sara, who he ended up marrying. As for the drug comment, a person can be in love and be on drugs, believe it or not. I was living proof. I know the way peeps look down on drug users, but they have real feelings just like everybody else. I don't think Lindsey had anything to do with their breakup. Didn't he have a steady gf for like 8 years after Stevie and he broke up? The story I heard and from quotes from Stevie was that Mick broke her heart by choosing her best friend over her. He was doing both of them at the same time. If he hadn't made that decision, who knows. They might have stayed together. I also remember reading that the loves of her life were Joe Walsh and Mick. She said Walsh was the man who broke her heart the most. That says a lot.

I think Stevie & Mick have been kindred spirits -- each enormously attached to the other -- virtually since the day they met. Yes, I'd call them soulmates: although maybe it's more unidirectional (Stevie --> Mick) than bidirectional (Stevie <--> Mick).

Still, Mick keeps close tabs on Stevie & always has. And we all know that she has Mick in her life constantly. They apparently have fought numerous times -- don't all friends? And when they had that major, major fight in 1991 -- with Stevie saying that she would never work with Mick again & that the situation was unresolvable & Mick basically coming across as very blase about it all -- even then, Stevie was telling some reporter about being forced to sing Jon Bon Jovi songs & feeling that if Mick had been around, he'd have come riding in on his "big white horse" to save the day & tell her she didn't have to do that & sending all those bossy stuffed shirts packing.

Those two are soulmates, kindred drama queens, sisters under the skin, etc.

Who really knows why Stevie broke up with Mick. Maybe it was just that she liked him better as a friend but didn't want to tell him that, so she made it seem as if she was making this sacrifice for the band. Maybe it was because of the reason she states. Who knows? It was so long ago and they've both obviously moved past that and onto a great friendship.

Susie
Yes, I agree. Maybe she realized she made a mistake and entered into it on the rebound from Henley and after having the abortion. Who knows? I'm just glad she did end it because the thought of them together sexually nauseates me.
