That's why I can't watch it... I'm VERY squeamish when it comes to surgeries.
I can watch the autopsy scenes in CSI and other shows, but I can't watch surgeries. Go figure.

There's usually only one surgery scene per episode and they never last longer than 30 seconds or so. I just close my eyes if it's particularly nasty. There was one last season where they performed eye surgery on Rebecca Gayheart and I almost barfed. Anything that has to do with eyes makes me especially queasy.

I can't watch either one of those. I freaked when the chef cut off his fingertip on that new show last nite and blood went everywhere. I don't know, maybe I'll give the show another try.

He totally gets the best lines on the show.

"Call Maury Povich, tell him I'm ready for my close-up."

One time I was watching this surgery and I was like "what the?" WARNING, grossness to follow: Finally they pulled up the skin and it was a baby's face. They had pulled the face down to fix a skull abnormality. :shudder: I usually skip through these shows now.

I watched that and kind of liked it. It wasn't as funny as I had hoped, but Bradley Cooper is just plain sexy, so I'll probably give it a couple more episodes before I decide.

If you watch Nip/Tuck on DVD, I guarantee that you'll be addicted in no time.

Even the previews have me salivating.

I've tried but it's too overindulgent and claustrophobic for my tastes. And the only one in the cast that I liked is Joely Richardson. Are the new series better than the first? New interesting presences in the acting department?

She is actually my least favourite member of the cast. There is just something about her voice that irks me. I can't really explain it, but it sounds so whiny and *exactly* the same everytime. Especially when she's mad and yelling. It gets old and annoying after a while. But that could be just me.

It's all about overindulgence and reveling in being over the top. It takes glee in being vulgar, trashy, and absurd; that's why I love it.

The second season was even more out there than the first; it was pretty shocking. Famke Janssen, Vanessa Redgrave, and Seth Gabel were great additions in the second season, Roma Maffia got some more screentime to show what a fantastic actress she is, and Alec Baldwin was quite good. I really like all of the actors (except for John Hensley, I don't care for him much).

That's the reason why I like her (not the whining, we see the show dubbed and that aspect probably becomes less evident), but the control. While the rest of the cast is taken by a hyperacting fest.

Well this actors list is pretty impressive, I guess I should try again, I want to see what Vanessa Redgrave and Alec Baldwin have to do with this series. I forgot about Roma Maffia. She was the other favourite in the cast, mostly for her capacity to give a lot of truthfulness to every scene she was in.

Famke Janssen was my favourite! That whole storyline was so twisted and f*cked up...I relished it.
