i vote wild heart...her vocals were great, but the song selections she has included in the other tours, the venues weren't all that different, the costumes werent all that flashy or different,...so ya...wild heart is my final answer!!!

The rest of the set was old hat -- Outside the Rain, Dreams, Gold Dust Woman, Stop Dragging My Heart Around, Stand Back, Rhiannon, Whole Lotta Trouble, Landslide, Edge of Seventeen, I Need to Know, Has Anyone Ever Written.

You left off "Twisted"... so here's the new list:

Gold And Braid
After The Glitter Fades
Rose Garden
Garbo
Sleeping Angel
Twisted

so that's 6 fresh songs in all.. name another Stevie solo tour in which she pulled out 6 obscure songs like that..

Great tour but I prefer the other ones more.

The 1981 tour, when she did eleven new songs.

You're right -- I left off "Twisted," although she did "Twisted" in exactly the same arrangement at four of her one-up shows in 1996: the Phoenix benefit, the St. Petersburg Pier, Columbus & Boston.

Anyway, my point was that "Enchanted" is held up as this grand time because the whole set was so ... "amazing," I think is the word people often use ... but she throws in new songs on many of her tours (five new songs on the 2001 tour), so I don't understand why "Enchanted" is considered so much better than those other tours.

I thought her Wild Heart tour costumes were pretty amazing, myself. I can't think of any other tour with such amazing & beautiful stage clothes. She was dressed like the Empress of the Pagodes, a bewitching mandarin, a Turandot aflame with color & desire.

I have to agree with you. Stevie looked amazing. Great outfits, make up and hair. Very sexy.

Default Round 8: Street Angel

I hate voting for this tour since it was the first time I saw La Nicks live, but it has to go.

The RAL ones were pretty much the same....Watching the DVD's I have. Plus all those little shawl things were brought back sooner or later.

You also left off "Enchanted", which had never been done live before.

Sorry for bumping up a dead thread.

Sort of ... close ... a couple of performances of "Enchanted" in June '83, like at the Meadowlands.

Not to worry! A thread in which I participate is never ever really dead, anyway.
