Default Worst Week Rant - Self Indulgent ;)

Guys, I have had the worst week. I went to get my car Tues and it wasn't there. They put up some construction site a few days before and towed my car away. Since I don't use it every day, I did not realize it was gone so the city said cha ching. I paid $150 to get it out of the tow lot and $75 for the parking ticket. Ugh.

Blurt screwed something up so I had to do twice as much work on this one install. He had the wrong version of Win2k on the machine, I don't even know why he used that one cuz we have standard software that we use. Of course, he did not tell me this, and was out "sick" as I was struggling. I finally figured out that was the problem. I talked to him today about it and he says, "Yeah, I thought that problem might come up as I was leaving the other day". Um, good thing you didn't let me know (insert Brian J's bitch slap here, I love that thing).

We have a new street cleaning schedule here and so I got another $25 ticket this morning. I had an appointment today and on the way I got caught in a cluster eff when trying to take a shortcut. I got out of that and then got stuck behind a fire truck blocking the road which was waiting for a construction vehicle blocking his way into the fire house. Then, I ran into a funeral procession which I did not realize. So I'm the asshole who's beeping cuz I don't know what's going on and then some guy gets out of his car and calls me a f*cking asshole. I am 15 minutes for my appointment but luckily it worked out okay. Then going back to work I get caught up in another traffic jam from construction (I hate mid-week work hours construction, it is evil). I sit in that for 20 minutes. So my stupid little 15 minute appointment takes 2 hours.

Fortunately, that's the end of my rant, everything from then until now has been good. Phew. But seriously this week sucked and I'm exhausted. Thank God for Edy's, see other thread.

How was your week?

That's ok. My dad is very sick...my ex girlfriend has decided to visit the place in which I work and talk **** about me to my friends and co-workers...my cat is throwing up her food every other day now....my car needs about $800 worth of work..........it never ends. Ah well. At least I'm not in New Orleans. I've got to be grateful.

I knew someone would be able to top me. I'm sorry about the troubles you are having.

My dad's ex called his boss to tell him lies about him. Some b*tches are sick.

And your kitty, aww. Has she been to the vet? The poor thing.

Dude, you put the b*tch slap in! That is awesome.

I should have some music on but I don't. I'm going to read America by Jon Stewart in a moment but will probably just crash. For some strange reason, I'm exhausted.

PS, my stupid back pain has also returned.

Sorry your week has been bad... at least it's over! I can't complain too much about my week... although my company filed for bankruptcy on Wednesday and I've been in kind of a down mood lately.

Yeah, me too, down mood this week. I'm sorry about your company. What do you do for them? It may not affect your job, depends. Now I feel dumb for even complaining. I felt better after ranting though.

Random - I smell a skunk which is rare in the city.

EffinA! Sorry to hear bout all that. Indeed when it rains......
I just got back from Vegas, so I ought to be doing happy dances. Instead I get into a HUGE NASTY argument w/ my folks, of whom I was traveling with (we are ultra tight/close, but if an argument erupts...watch out!) so from Hoover Damn area to Bakersfield (for you non-Californian's, that's about a 6 hour trip) the car was SILENT...bristling w/ hardcore tension. UGH! All is well, I suppose. We had sorta made amends for the stupidity of it all, but they have tried twice to call me since we got home last night, and I am JUST not up to it. Pity too, cause the trip all in all was amazing, save for the last moment. Does that suck or what?!?!?!?! OH, and add that it's been 6 days w/ no smoking. I'm not even trying to quit...just well, long story. Debating whether to light up, or indeed quit. No exasperation, stress here.
Still Suze, I'd take my issues vs. yours in a heartbeat. Nothing says ulcer like traffic and stupid people!

I think the end of summer is getting me down a bit... takes me a while to adjust to the seasons.

I work for Delta and mostly work with U.S. Customs, Customs brokers and corporations to clear international cargo shipments. My department is really small, there's only 20 of us but we made a $3 million profit last year so I think my job is OK. I'm just worried about a pay cut, and my stock options that were once worth $50 a share are now at 75 cents.

Same here! I'm actually thinking about getting one of those light boxes. However, I looked into them today and they are about $250.00. WTF??? Maybe I can find one at a bargain price somewhere.

Damn. That happened to me too, my last company's stock was worthless by the time I was laid off. I'm glad to hear your job is likely safe. I'll pray for no paycut!!!

Thanks hon Damn that had to have sucked. I would have been exhausted after all that tension for so long! And as far as quitting goes, don't worry about that, maybe just don't smoke today. One day at a time? I know it is so hard though. Damn addictions.

I'm really sorry to hear about your awful week, Suze.
As well as yours, Brandon, Ken and Anita.
