It seems some others like it too . The original is very nice but quite a plain love song, the 90's version sounds more heartfelt, intense and with a deeper meaning, to me.

Planets of the Universe - demo version

Have been known to leave that song on repeat for hours on end.

I have a question about the premise though...
Does this mean that this is the only song we get to listen to for all eternity, or just the only Stevie song (but we still get to listen to other artists)? If it's the former, I'd rather commit suicide than listen to nothing but her.

I think it's the only Stevie song you'd get to listen to for eternity.

Good, because giving up Lindsey, Tom and Walter would be too much for me to endure.

I don't believe I have an accapella version of Mistaken Love. I have about 8 other versions... do you have it??

Yes we do have fine taste I do have the acapella version. You know, you may have heard it. I call it acapella, but you can hear some music faintly. So I guess it really isn't acapella. If you have the Mistaken Love master reel, it's on there. It's the same as the full version on there but the music is scaled down. It's cool though because it puts a whole new spin on the harmonies to hear them almost by themselves. If you haven't heard it let me know. Next time I'm at my parent's house I'll take advantage of there DSL and send it to you if you want it.

Mine would be between Gold and Braid and Sisters of the Moon. Gold and Braid will probably win out.

Crystal with Lindsey is perfection...

Rachel and I sing "I'm such a pussy! Such a pussy! I can't believe how much of a pussy I am!" when we hear it! I pretty much hate the studio version of it. I only like hearing it live. I don't even listen to live recordings of it. It's like a pussy anthem!

Mine would have to be a live version of Rhiannon or Sisters of the Moon. Something I could rock out to daily.

We totally need to start a PM Crystal appriciation thread. This is a song I will play for people who are non-Stevie fans and most of them instantly fall in love with it. I have one particular friend who didn't even know who Stevie was but was in love with this song from Practical Magic and when I played it for her she practically passed out.

The lyrics, the music, the arrangement, and her voice all make this song a true classic IMO. As someone said earlier the others versions are boring in comparision and don't convey nearly the emotion that this one does.

My very favorite part of the song is the last 1 1/2 minutes when it's just that particular guitar part (doo doo doo doo lol) and her beautiful voice singing "IIIIIIII turned around and the water was closing around me" doo doo doo doo. Sometimes I just listen to that part over and over. You know what part I'm talking about?
