Default Beautiful Newport, RI Photos

Well, Newport, RI can be lovely but my photos are just OK.

I took last Friday off from work and went out with a few friends. We did something that I always wanted to do. Take the ferry from Providence to Newport. It was amazing. I had never sailed on Narragansett Bay before and it was just a wonderful experience.
Anyway on Saturday evening we all went to the Waterfires in Providence. On Sunday we all went back to Newport but by car and we went to The Irish Festival which was just OK. I was not that into it.
I took a bunch of photos and the reason being is that I am joining a Photography group next Tuesday and they have a 'Summer Show and Tell" next week, Now I at least have something to submit.

Anyway, here are some pictures.
Point St. Bridge in Providence near where we took the ferry.

The Ferry.

Yeah, I doubt that! But I am having fun. I hopefully took the best pics with my slide film for the presentation. I am going to have a slide made of one of my Stevie Vegas photos so I can put that in with the rest.

Pattie your pictures are fabulous. I love the lighthouse ones and the nighttime once especially. There is just something cool about a lighthouse I would love to go a place like RI sometime.

I loved the "Orange Ball Sunset". I may get out my water colors and attempt a reproduction, poor as it will be! Thanks for sharing these relaxing photos!

Thanks for the photos Pattie. I haven't seen some of those places in a very long time. In fact, I've never seen that park in Providence at all. Is that the RIGHA (or former RIGHA) building in the background? There used to be a restaurant in it called the Rusty Scupper.
The lighthouses are great too. Nice work.

I am not sure what the RIGHA building is but they are putting up a new GTECH building near that area. The restaurant is now called 'Bella Vista" and I have never been there. I was there a few years back when it was 'The Boathouse".
You might like my next subject. Slater Mill. I have not going there yet but I might this weekend. We shall see.
