Reminds me of my friend's father (a single dad) who came out a couple of years ago. I had the biggest crush on his newly paraded about lover, too. Thought he was an asshole, but he sure was hot in a "man-in-his-forties-with-gunmetal-gray-hair-and-a-face-to-die-for" way.

Thank you, Daniel. I have a big mouth and wear my heart on my sleeve, which tends to bite me in the ass, but I think I'm better than no one. Except for hateful, racist ****tards.

But you know, saying F these days is probably like saying **** 40 years ago. It's EXTREMELY common in many people's daily language. I admit that I use it too much(in speech), but that's kind of the point here. It is such a common word now, that it IS sort of an effort to remember not to type it. It's probably in half of my emails.
I love the Ledge, and very much appreciate Marty and Lis giving us the best place on the internet. I WILL try to abide by the rules, BUT, I'd also appreciate it if I didn't have to examine every post, to make sure I didn't type something strike-worthy. If it's part of many people's daily language, I feel it should be acceptable here, too. Just my 2 cents.

For many who have complained, it is that rule that has gotten them worked up. It's a combination of things that happened all at once.

Curty, please, would you try that with Annette?

I smoked Marlboro Lights, about 1/2 pack a day, from the age of 15 to 25. I quit after developing asthma. I still smoke the occasional cig, always when drunk. Used to be 1 or 2 a year, but that's crept up to about 10 in the past year. I'd better get it back under control...

What is about about butts and alcohol??
I used to smoke-hate to admit it , but Paula's honesty brought out my honesty...
Virginia Slims Lights- Menthol- age 17 til 28. Quit when my husband to be, requested it- Moving into a new home and he does not smoke, and didn't want me smoking in the new house...plus it was bad for me.
So I did. Cold turkey and it was hard!!!
But the house was REALLY clean ....(I had so much energy, when trying not to smoke had to keep doing things, cleaning, dusting---whatever--- and not be thinking about smoking.)
But like Paula I still (on occasion), have a cig or 2 when buzzed...and then afterwards think..Yuck, why did I do that???
But mix in a few friends-alcohol and at least one person smoking...and well, you just have to be social!!! and partake haha

And I swear I feel sh*tty the next day more due to the smoke than the alcohol.

Drum tobacco from 17-35, two years clean, couldn't resist a J after those two years, from that moment (=since three years) about 5 luckies or chesterfield-reds a day. But not in my house or around my son. Once a junk...........

Aw, Moony. I think you should put a little more effort into your sarcasm. This is rather simplistic and derivative. If you're having trouble being original, I'm sure there are some books out there you can consult.

I've never smoked. I hate it if I go out and come home absolutely reeking. LOL! My local pub is now no smoking which is brilliant.

Default no, I don't

but have the occasional cig when I'm drinking. I agree with the person that said I feel worse the next morning from the smoking rather than from the alcohol.

Austin just instituted a smoking ban in all public places (including bars). Now, if they'd just get rid of the alcohol and the dance music, I might actually go out.
