And Jesus, just because I have my own opinions about things doesn't mean that I like playing devil's advocate! How can I help what my opinions are...it's not something I think about all day long..."let me get back to the ledge so I can disagree with what every d*mn person is saying...hehe" And if you would have been posting here as long as I have you would have known that I have always been a conservative Bush supporter...sorry for "messing" up the flow of things!

A - I have been a member of the Ledge since the late 90's.

B - Bush is, imo, an arrogant idiot without the life experience, work experience, people experience or intelligence needed to run a country.

C - Your response is laughable. Selling more albums and influencing pop culture doesn't equal talent - if that's what you are suggesting. One instance that comes to mind is on her Onyx Tour that aired on cable television, first off she lipsynched 99% of the show, but when it came time for her "hit" ballad Everytime, she gave live singing a go - woops, bad idea...she sounded like she had swallowed rusty nails.

D - The Britney vs. Christina fight is so 2001 (we all know who has the goods; vocally and lyrically...and we'll see it in about 10 years) - move on...

ouch! hot, ain't it...

oops...sorry about that. but I'm not going to apologize for "messing up the flow of the board", whatever that is supposed to mean...

and that is an opinion you are very much intitled to!

talent isn't always everything. some people like britney's music, others do not. my point was that there is obviously some that like it or she wouldn't have sold so many records...

Tell that the Christina who recently took YET ANOTHER snub at Britney in the news.

I know!! My mom has had that hair-do since 1979!
All I can say is she had better not go to Penny's to snach up all the pleated dockers, I want my kids to be in sports too! LOL!
Tee hee, I just got this mental image of her handing out snacks to the kids after the game saying "Oh my gawd! Look up my nose!"
Silly Britney!

She does look like her mother in that picture. For her child's sake, I hope she is a good mother.

I'm always seeing ten-year-olds in skimpy outfits in the mall, Wal-Mart, etc. That's probably her big contribution.

It started with Madonna and really, for girls a little older, in the 70's with hot pants.

It did? It's just that she's been popular the whole time I've been alive and it wasn't until pretty recently that it seemed so acceptable for a little girl to show her midriff. Maybe Madonna started it but Britney really got it going.

When I was growing up, all the little ten year olds at the mall were dressing like Madonna - who really somewhat stole the look from punk rock.
