Default Just Bought The Mirage DVD!

I thought I'd go shopping today and hope it had been released early. And it has, at least at the store I went to.

Haven't really had time to watch it, but I flipped through some of the songs. The picture quality is good, not great. And it does have the solo Stevie videos included. Again, the quality's ok.

I watched Sister Of The Moon. That's the first time I've seen it and the gibberish thing she does literally sent shivers down my spine. It was amazing, in a "what the hell is she doing?" sort of way

Overall, I'd already say it's worth the price - $17.99 (australian).

I bought the official VCR video of that show years ago. I love it...partly for the fact that it was very last tour with just the five of them. By the next tour, sans Lindsey, they started augmenting the live band with additional musicians. These days those additional musicians far outnumber the band members...for better or worse. (That's a matter of opinion.) Only wish that the video contained the entire concert! A significant portion was omitted:

Hold Me
Second Hand News
Dreams
Oh Well,
Brown Eyes
Sara
Don't Stop
Never Going Back Again
Landslide

Given the limitations of video tape, the omissions are understandable, but not in DVD format. My conviction is that DVD is not an official release, although it may look like one....sort of. The BIG RED FLAG is the cover!! Doesn't it feature an image of the Behind The Mask era band??? If so, that reeks of shifty but enterprising bootleggers who know nothing about the band, but know there is a market for the product.

One would think that the corporates who handle Fleetwood Mac would have realized this years ago. At this point, reasonable heads should see that the revenue that product would have generated (had it been an official DVD release) is being eating away, and lining the pockets of the unscrupulous.

But as we all know, they have their heads up their asses.

There are videotapes that allow 8 HOURS of video, so I ain't buying this one.If there was a limitation at the time, it was probably laserdisk(I dunno though).[QUOTE=PenguinHead]

I bought the BTM Mirage DVD. It's....okay, considering Mick's too dumb to give us the real thing. I'd ESPECIALLY love to have one with the above listed "missing songs"!!!!!Hello Mick!!!!!

I couldn't agree more on this point. I think I'll try to sell wine, rather than FM. What a dumbass.

I don't know whether it's actually official or not but this version has the right line up on the cover at least.

Not this one. This DVD is a combination of the "In Concert: Mirage Tour 1982" and Stevie's video collection "I Can't Wait," both having been released on RCA video. As for the cover, it looks like something they would have released during SYW, but the photos of the band members are definately "Mirage" era. Check it out.

* My only theory is that a 60min VHS tape is cheaper to buy for a production company than a 120min.... ESPECIALLY back in 1982!!!
....see also Stevie Live at Red Rocks???

** No. It IS an official release. New CORRECT packaging & it's distubuted nationally to all the major retailers!!

Sorry you wasted your money. I'm holding my breath for an "official" release of this that has been cleaned up and edited better.
