So now they're treating others as they have been treated?! Yeah, they were promised aid, and it didn't come. That is horrible. It's here now, though, and look how they are treating it. You can defend it all you want, But I will rarely think adverse conditions make it okay for people to act ugly to someone bringing them aid. Yes, I see it is happening, and why, but I won't excuse it - especially as it hurts all others who want and need aid, and who aren't jeapordizing the aid, and acting hostile. JMO.

So people should act however they want whenever they go through hardship? No matter who that jeapardizes? No matter who else it hurts? Adversity gives people license to act like mangy rabid animals?
mmmkay.

I'm sure before long it will cost you your firstborn, your deed to your home for a gallon.

Give me a break. You honestly think that these people are thinking straight and have total control over their actions?

I absolutely cannot fathom that. I just read what you typed there four times and I still can't make it really make sense to me.

Exclamation Holy crap...

the news just reported (This is an estimated amount by an elected official...Hopefully it is an over-inflated number) that as many as 10,000 are dead due to Hurricane Katrina.

Total control? No.
Give me a break. You're honestly saying you think it's okay?
In any case, I hope they're being rounded up, separated, controlled, and given whatever they need in a hurry, so that the people who can contain themselves not to do violence against the aid bringers can get what they need.

I don't know what you're reading, because no one ever stated such a thing in this thread.

Ah, yes. of course - they might easily get violent. hmm, I have almost no sympathy for them.
I know others are in shock - again - I hope they're controlled and given what they need quickly, because I still can't find that behavior excusable.

Right, I don't think the point is to say it is okay but to not judge these people for losing it under some of the most horrific conditions anyone has ever seen in the US.

well, they have suffered through about half those things...
anyway - I see your point but I still can't excuse it at this time. Just like I can't excuse the people who are perpetrating violence and rape and the theft of non essential items.
We disagree, I guess, but I don't want to argue about it any more.

I think someone should sure as hell try to control and fix their bulls***, though, whatever that takes, because it's sickening to me. Here's where my usual knee jerk liberalism fails me a bit.
