Nancy Wilson is from Heart. She's the blonde sister of Ann Wilson. She sang lead on 'These Dreams' among other Heart songs.

The way he is singing reminds me of Blue Turns to Gray or She Smiled Sweetly.

Thumbs up Yep
It's a mixture of Say Goodbye/She Smiled Sweetly/Red Rover.

SG - for the guitarwork

SSS - for the vocal

RR - for the wierd lyrics

OK I am at that site and I click on Lindsey's name and NOTHING HAPPENS!!! Did they take them down? Do I need some magic trick to get this to work? Don't tell me that it does not work with AOL, right?

Good Grief! I finally got it to work! It sounds pretty good from what little I could hear.

I read this thread before I followed the link, and my heart sank when Christy compared it to "Red Rover" and "Say Goodbye." I've been hoping against hope that L.B. wouldn't further pursue that style of instrumentation (which I've gone on record in the past as saying I feel is overly fussy for songs with vocals).

But I like what I heard in this clip... so I'm optimistic about the potential of the complete track.

The CVB lyrics are TOTALLY another cup of tea...eh....pint of lager.....

Shut Us Down Lyrics Camper van Beethoven:

I’ve got a ’lectric guitar and half a bottle of warm beer
I’ve got some funny ideas about what sounds good
What sounds good
Better shut us down
Better shut us down
I’ve got a dollar (fifty) (fifteen) and nothing better to do
I’ve got a half tank of gas and nowhere to go
Better shut us down
Better shut us down
Better shut us down.

Exclamation Lol
The first time I heard it, I went "Hmmm...okay.", then I listened to it about 20 more times and I love it now. Cannot WAIT to hear the entire song and read the lyrics!!

JS...I just meant the RR comparison because of the wierd what-the-frick-do-these-lyrics-mean, not the sound, it's TOTALLY Say Goodbye, if anything.

For the peeps who don't care for it, wait for the entire song and maybe listen to it a few more times.

Ooh, thanks, Christy! I love it. It does remind me of Say Goodbye a lot, which is fine with me because I think it's one of his finest songs. This new one sounds like it's going to be really great.

The rest of the soundtrack is pretty darned good, too.
