And on edit: Wasn't there some story about some guy from Tom Petty's band (was it the piano/keyboardist who played on Bella Donna?) who had like this great big crush on Stevie but she wouldn't give him the time of day? And I remember he was really cute too.

I know that there was a link posted with an interview with Stan Lynch. He claimed that Stevie was hot for him but he was not interested and she still pursued him.

I would say the 50-100 number is probably not outrageous. You figure she started dating when she was... 15 or 16? She is 57... and has never been married (yeah, yeah, Kim, whatever). Even if she slept with one guy a year for all those years, we'd be at about 40. And she was a rock star through the 70s and 80s. She spent many years with Linds, but few of her other boyfriends who we know of were longterm. I don't find the number shocking.

And baby, more power to her.

I thought Benmont Tench was the one who had the crush on her but I had no idea she actually had a thing for Stan. Okay--that makes perfect sense. Damn, this woman did like to sleep her way through bands didn't she? Let's see, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Hmm I don't know. I could have sworn that I read an interview with Stan very recently. Let me see if I can find it.
