I'm so there. I didn't know it was going to be so delicious until you posted that little bit.

Is she Jonathan Silverman's sister?

I was shocked at the stuff that made it on. Mark kept looking at me & asking "they can say THAT on TV?" Wait until you hear all the Andy Dick jokes.

Sara Silverman was OK, but her bit about her grandmother's house is priceless.

I never heard her say anything about Stevie on there, but she absolutely embarrassed herself when she kept RAVING about Aimee Mann's then-new album, while calling it "Mangolia" every. single. time.

My comments about it being bawdy and vicious and having a hysterical appearance by BEA ARTHUR weren't incentive enough?!

Harummph!

I always brake for Bea Arthur, but that one quote Paula posted had me gasping for air. The funny thing is that I saw a few minutes of "Showtime at the Apollo" yesterday afternoon.

I TiVo'd it and have watched it several times. It is sooooooo ****ing funny. One my favorite jokes that I can remember is, what seemed to be an ad lib because of Courtney Love, by Sarah Silverman:

"I'm so glad Courtney Love made it here tonight because I left my crack in my other purse"

and another one

"I remember the first time I saw Jimmy's (Kimmel) balls- they were sitting on Adam Corolla's chin"

There are so many great slams from this show. I wish I could remember more of them.

"I was wondering which Courtney Love we were gonna get tonight: The smeared lipstick crack whore....or the violent, smeared lipstick crack whore."

Dissy... Bea Arthur was there, and if you watch it for no other reason, watch it for her! My jaw was dropped the whole time.
I don't know...I am down for some raunchy humor too, but I just thought it was completely awful. I mean, that kind of non stop heckling just gets old and almost irritating. But it IS a roast so what can you do?

Well, I thought it was fab. To each his own, I guess.

Diss? Hello? Dissypoo?

Saw it, loved it. But I'm a vile pig, so that's obvious. I've seen a couple of roasts before and thought they were crap, but this one was so bloody hysterical that I felt like I had to rush out and purchase Poise pads.
