Ok there are 2 Japan backstage footage sets floating around. They are from 1977. The first one shows Stevie putting her making on and making some comments about it. There is a segment where Stevie seems very friendly with the roadies hugging and chatting and flirting. Lindsey whines a lot and wants 'French Food. There is an interview with Christine where she looks like she is a bit tipsy.

The second DVD set has 3 DVDs and is kind of the same but I don't think that Stevie with the roadies is in there.
There is some kind of a photo session and I think that band is all high. Mick has this odd ring and I think that it might be used for other reasons then jewelry. Chris and John exchange some words and John calls her a name.
Lindsey makes out with Carol Ann (Barf) and is still whining through out the video.
That is all that I can think of right now. Anyway they are a must have for any fan. I am sure that most traders (like myself) can set up a trade for them.

Imagine any big rock band in the 1970s backstage before & after a show on tour. That's all it is.

In this case, it's the week's worth of shows in Japan in December 1977, so you have some backstage footage, some onstage footage, some traveling footage (bullet trains, planes), some press conference footage, etc. It's all just a big mishmash, & all of it is harmless & cheeky & interesting to us because we're Fleetwood Mac fans. They do just what every other rock band did, so it's difficult to fathom the cause of any shame they might have looking back on it.

I don't think the members of the band -- or even their respective managers -- have any idea what sort of footage may be locked away somewhere.

If you mentioned the word "Rosebud" to Lindsey, Mick or Stevie, you'd probably get a blank stare -- "Huh?" -- not unlike the stares the reporters got from Joseph Cotten in "Citizen Kane."

Didn't Mick mention last year in an interview about having all the Japan '77 footage hanging around somewhere. I remember being all excited about it since the footage we all seem to have is crappy quality.

Could be. Some of it did show up, after all, in the Disney Going Home program (the scene backstage at one of the Japan gigs with Stevie holding a drink, laughing & horsing around with Mick, as well as "Landslide" in Tokyo).

I've wanted these too, but am not a trader as I have nothing of value. Anyone selling these? (Is it taboo to ask? )

Yeah, I never understood how people got things when they first started out. I wouldn't mind paying for these, they sound really interesting! I gotta start somewhere!

I'm officially pissed.

The description says it's PAL format, yet Region 0. Does this mean it will or won't play on US players?

And what happened to that online petition we all signed a few years ago to get all this crap officially released? I'd say we should revive it, in case the newer folks didn't know, but I'm beginning to think it is (and WAS) pointless...

.. i love that scene.. would love to have seen it in its entirety... but i guess it would have shed a negative light on Stevie and maybe she just didnt want the image of her being like that out there...
that while Fleetwood Mac dropped the ball with "Destiny Rules" the Beatles community passed about a 10 DVD set of what was originally to be offered as "The Beatles Anthology", But this version of Anthology was yanked instead for the tamer/lamer version that was released (The unreleased version contains a bunch more interviews with the Beatles and their circle of friends, much more live music and rare footage never seen before instead of the one that became the officially released version.)

If there is as many hours of footage of outtakes from "Destiny Rules" as there is eported to be, Then I think it will only be a 'matter of time' before it shows up in circulation...

"all too well" who has these Japanese tour footage/outtakes who can hook ya up with a B&P trade (Blank & Postage trade) once 'he' comes back from 'his' short trading vacation/sabbatical.

Gee, I wonder who 'he' is??? Hmmm....

Probably not unless your TV can display the PAL (video broadcast) format. The U.S. standard is NTSC. However, your pc dvd drive should be able to play the dvd and if you want, a program such as Nero can convert the video to the NTSC format so that it could play on your tv.

Region 0, a.k.a. Region Free, means that the dvd is not country specific. For example, Region 1 is the US & Canada.

I can do a 2 for 1 trade. You would send one blank DVD for every DVD that you wanted. So if you wanted 6 DVDs you would send 12 blanks.

If anyone is interested in these or any other DVDs please Private Message me. I am trading DVDs right now.

Nero can do that?! No kidding? How do you do that with Nero, mind my asking quickly before going on a Webwide search?
