In Concert: Mirage Tour '82 DVD

looks like the Mirage DVD will be officially released according to the nicksfix... I wonder if its as good as the other one (w/ Tango cover....stupid) plus its got all those bonus Stevie videos. I'll probably buy it & then sell the other one or something. Of all the concerts to release on dvd, they pick something we've all probably seen a 100 times

....

Am I missing something? It says that it is being released in Australia and the USA link is for a bootleg?

I already have a copy of the laserdisc on DVD anyway and I am certainly not going to spend over $30.00 on this DVD.

What I don't understand is why won't FM just release a dvd box set/ documentary-concert thing spanning from 75-till last tour? Do they know how many people would buy that? All this footage that i'm sure they've got somewhere, & we're sittin' here watching & sometimes paying for crappy dvds & boots. I mean, i've never seen 80% of what footage exists & I think it would be an awesome thing to put out there for fans who joined a little late in the game, but that's just me.

Odd that the Nicksfix has info about this... the tacked-on videos from the 'I Can't Wait' compilation make it hard to believe it's an official release.

Yeah, why would Stevie solo videos wnd up on a Fleetwood Mac video? The USA link isn't even for the same DVD.

Well there is a lot of footage however, some of it does not paint a flattering picture of the members. Lots of editing would have to be done to meet the approval of all of the band members so most likely a lot of interesting stuff would end up on the cutting room floor.

yes, you're right.... but still something, even if its not some big collection, would be nice. A few small sets from different concerts maybe.... i've got a Led Zeppelin dvd like that, i love it

I know that all of the SYW shows were filmed. I am sure that they could have set something up where people could get a DVD or even CD of any of the shows that they wanted. I guess that they feel that would not generate much cash. Most likely the same is true with any new DVD from the band so they don't bother. LIB might be the last video we see from them in a long time.

was to do what the fans want then that would be what we would call a miracle...Go ahead everyone, Say miracle...M-I-R-A-C-L-E!!!

Look at how they dropped the ball with the "Destiny Rules" DVD...Couldve added tons of unseen footage as extras, But what avenue did they approach? Just release the same version aired on VH1.

Might be better to buy the bootleg than wait around for ANTHING official to arrive, As sad as that is to say.

The bootlegs might not be the best quality but they are going to have a lot more interesting footage then anything the band releases. I think that we will watching the boots for a long time. I am also sure that someone is sitting on a ton of interesting videos that could be transferred to DVD.
The boots that I have gotten from trades are far more intersting then anything the band has ever put out.

Exactly! like the part where Stevie is sitting on the sofa and screaming outloud at someone "he's gonna hate it!!! he's gonna hate it cuz i wrote it!!!"

.. i love that scene.. would love to have seen it in its entirety... but i guess it would have shed a negative light on Stevie and maybe she just didnt want the image of her being like that out there...

This makes me want to kill them. There are at least twenty people here who have various better ideas for Mac distribution than their managers do.

Exactly! They want us to see them in a positive light, which is why we will never see any good footage. Those Japan boots will most likely never see the light of day as an “official’ release.

wait, I've never seen any of the Japan footage.... what kind of stuff, behavior did they show? i'm curious to know.
