I'm pretty sure that Jimmy Webb said somewhere that he was high on acid when he wrote it. Or maybe I just hope he said that.

*Drum roll please*...

The Zit Remedy: Everybody Wants Something
"Everybody wants something! They'll never give up! Everybody wants something! They'll take your money and NEVER GIVE UP!" (from Degrassi Junior High)

and this one seriously deserves a MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR (Like Major Dad!) Drum roll...

Big Fun: Teenage Suicide
"Teenage suicide! DON'T DO IT! Teenage suicide! SHE BLEW IT!" (from Heathers)

Can you possibly get any worse?

I guess I should read through the ENTIRE thread before replying, eh?

Well, the REALLY odd thing is that Donna Summer felt compelled to COVER it! What was up with THAT?!?!

Performed by the Starland Vocal Band- written by Bill and Taffy Danoff, better known for writing "Take Me Home, Country Roads" with John Denver.

Aw, I like "Come On Eileen."

And you know what I'm going to say. I bet you haven't heard 20% of her music. And it is not all the same.

I'm sportin' the avatar so I must represent.

I actually have a Donna Summer collection that I hardly ever listen to and that song is on it. Maybe I should go listen to it to see what everyone's talking about.

It's nothing personal against him because I respect country legends, but I think a countrified version of that song is SO wrong. I think it's actually worse than Rod Stewart's cover of "Stand Back."
