Yes it was for Aids research. There is a whole series of this albums, but the one I love is the first, the tribute to Cole Porter (I'm a big fan of Porter, Gershwin, Rodgers & Hart music). George Michael isn't there, but there are a lot of beautiful covers: some of my favourites are Well, Did You Evah with Iggy Pop and Debbie Harry (also the video is hilarious), So in Love performed by K.D Lang, Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye sung by Annie Lennox. It's an album I'm never tired of.

Oooh I just remembered the one I like is from the same series and it's called "Red Hot + Dance". That's the one with George Michael.

I hated the nineties, but I didn't buy albums then either. Whatevs.
Tragic Kingdom
Cake - Fashion Nugget
Street Angel
No Exit
Indigo Girls - Strange Fire
Erykah Badu - Baduism
Erykah Badu - Live
Me'Shell Ndegeocello - Peace Beyond Passion
Timespace
The Dance.
er...Cosmic Thing came out in 89, I think...I bought it in 90, though...

I liked some songs off of others people listed, but wouldn't I be a poseur if I said them and didn't hear the whole album? Yep.

those were my first Stevie's. And, since I could read your post, obviously not.
My Stevie obsession started in the nineties, and I don't buy music anyways, so there ya go.
Are you suprised? Look at the rest of my list! Which, in it's very sparsety, totally explains....

Yes, I know there was nothing artistically groundbreaking about it, it's not on the same level as some of my other favorites... it was just a greatest hits rehash. However, it was a fun time to be a fan and for that, I give it a .

Metallica - Metallica (The Black Album)

Again, I dont listen to a lot of music from the 90's. Bring on the 2000's!
