I am glad you decided to stick around, Brian.

Personally, I think the Stevie forum has been a wreck since the May Vegas shows.

Me, too. Especially if coming here gives you a little bit of comfort with all of the terrible things going on, Brian.

I think it's very hard to dig through that thing.

Personally, I wish Lindsey, Stevie, or the Mac would do something so that we'd have something new to talk about, dammit.

Nancy..yes, it was the last straw that broke the camels back and when MFM says he's gonna do something, then he does, with a passion!
I can't see any amount of begging (i've tried) or cajoling will make him change his mind unfortunately to return as anything other than a lurker...

Personally, I wish Lindsey, Stevie, or the Mac would do something so that we'd have something new to talk about, dammit....haha..exactly Dissention!

Seriously. That way, we all could bicker about who owned the album more, Stevie or Lindsey.

As of late this has been the most negative I have ever seen the Ledge since I started posting here 4 years ago.

I dont need anymore negativity in my life...I post here out of some kinda "wack-a-loon self-preservation" therapy if you say, Makes me feel like I can connect with the folkz here instead of always feeling there's only NOW 1 person in the whole world who I connect with.

I also stayed just because I felt welcomed and a slight bit needed here...Being needed at this time in my life is something I openly welcome since the one person who needed me the most is no longer walking with us mortals.

So for now I am trying to hang in there and stay an active member of the Ledge

You are more than "slightly needed" around here, Brian - we love you!!!!

I can see where negativity is something you absolutely don't need in your life right now though - hopefully we can all swing the Ledge in a better direction

I'm glad you decided to stick around...

Or whose voice sounds more ragged. Or why Lindsey feels the need to overproduce his songs to the point where they're next to impossible to play live. Or why Stevie continues to write songs about Lindsey even though they broke up almost 30 years ago.

C'mon, guys, throw us a bone.

Interesting. Could you elaborate? If not, then that's fine.

When people had differences of opinion on the Vegas shows, i.e. whether she lived up to expectations or not, I thought things were getting a little out of hand. (The Jim Ladd interview kept being thrown around.) I had no objections to the opinions themselves; we were talking about Stevie and her music/shows. But I thought the arguments became more like personal attacks. ("You will kiss Stevie's ass no matter what", etc.) I've also noticed some personal attacks in seemingly innocent threads, such as the Survivor ones. Then, the Peter Jennings thread snowballed into another huge debacle. Just too much drama for me. JMO, of course.

I was thinking that she meant it's too much to dig through, as Josh said.

I'm not Krista, but at one point, there were around 40 threads solely about those Vegas shows. Greg even counted them. I suggested merging them to tidy the board up, but was shot down. Now, there's thread after thread about Stevie's father. Why, I've no clue, when one or two would suffice. I think it's just a matter of it being difficult to wade through the board with so many threads about the exact same thing. JMO.

But at the same time it's also difficult to go wade through a thread that is 6+ pages long. I'm just sayin'

A ledgie should be able to express negativity about the topic of this forum, & should be able to say, "I can't stand the Las Vegas show," without being jumped on in personal ways by the other ledgies. But that's rarely the case. A negative opinion about the TOPIC is construed as either a character flaw or a transgression, & then attacked -- all of which bugs me.

Even now, in this very thread, people are complaining about the "negativity" & I don't know for sure what they're talking about: are they talking about personal attacks? or about negative opinions about the subject(s) of the board?

If saying something negative -- however harsh -- about Fleetwood Mac is considered a serious problem by the site owners or moderators, or by the poster community in general here, prohibit it. Just prohibit it now & be done with it. At least then participants know where they stand & what exactly they can say.

But all this reactive crap -- "Why are you so negative about Stevie/Mick/Lindsey/Bekka?" -- about some people's opinions is what incites fights & unhappiness & creates what I call a HUAC atmosphere.

I couldn't agree more, the Vegas threads were ridiculous!

And as for the threads about Stevie's dad. I just don't get it. Imagine if every Ledgie started a thread called "My thoughts on Stevie's dad". After the main "Stevie's Dad" thread, I'm not sure there's anything left to say.
