Oh man... I thought you meant they had been released on video in the UK...

Disappointed.

"He's Alive" is a spine chiller. I get goose bumps every time I hear it. It's about enough to make me into a born again.

And the giggle. We must all practice the giggle. And let it rip at each and every opportunity.

I have no doubt you have fake quadruple-Ds for the occasion as well.

And, while I'm at it - for such a big "Whorehouse" fan, you never seemed to listen to Miss Mona's Special No-No Rules, Mr. Grossest Ledgie, namely:

1. Keep your language clean, girls.

(And that's why we LUV you. )

I remember LOVING "Me and Little Andy" growing up. Then about 10-15 years ago I saw her in Houston at the Woodlands (where she did an AMAZING BEYOND WORDS "He's Alive") and actually paid attention to the words...and it's the saddest damn song ever! Drunk and neglecting parents? Kids and dogs dying? I thought it was just about a puppy dog and gingerbread men!

And I swear my aunt used to have a Greatest Hits cassette (the one with the pic of her in the red shirt in the shower) and "Me and Little Andy" was on it. I have that same album on CD though, and it's not on there. Guess I'll have to download it.

Oh, and the original "I Will Always Love You"...perfection. Not the remake for BLWIT (don't like it nearly as much as the original). By the way, that movie is one of my favorites! My sister and I used to duet "Sneakin' Around" when we were little! I think we just liked that it had the word "cheerios" in it!

The original IWALY is exactly that : perfect. It is so damned sugary and sweet - only Dolly could get away with it - simply because she doesn't have a phony bone in her body (not counting the surgeries... ).

That song literally just breaks my heart. When she closed her shortlived variety show with it every episode, I welled up every single time ! So silly.

Of course the Whitney bastardization is an atorcity to me. I challenge anyone to find a shred of the original melody in her car alarm vocal gymanstics. But, the 3 million Dolly made from it probably helped the last three bluegrass albums happen. So, all is well that ends well.

And it was not sung to or about Kevin "I have fins and a flop - Tin Cup" Costner

Finally, Dolly's version is perfection.

Me and Little Andy is the saddest damn song ever! My mom, sister and I used to listen to it and all cry! Yeah, it was TOTALLY on the cassette of that Greatest Hits record but not on cd. Weird though. I was in a used record store and they had several copies of the Greatest Hits record (the one you were talking about with the red shirt) and I SWEAR there were different versions of it and one had Me and Little Andy on it. But I bought one that didn't have it on it. Of course, that could have been one of my heavy heroin days! I really gotta cut back!

Dolly Parton is one of the greatest, a true legend for so many reasons. And it just so happens that I'm listening to the "White Limozeen" album while I'm typing this. Daisy May in Hollywood.

Oh she's banned over here too. Country music is programmed to self-destruct if it attempts to leave North America.
