Awww... I'm so glad to see this song here. I think it's the first time I've seen anyone mention it. I love and adore this song. The harmonies are beautiful. I love that it was a Lindsey song, and a fine one at that, and Stevie came in and wrapped her voice around it like a glove and made it what it is on SYW. I listen to it over and over and over...

The romantica esoterica of "You And I Part One" does it for me.

So, basically if a song title starts with the letter "s", that's a pretty good bet you'll be in tears before its over?

I cried the first time I heard "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You". It was during the Tango tour, and I had not yet heard all of Rock A Little, only the singles. And I was so touched by the line "...if it's all I ever do, this is your song" and "you know I'd rather be alone than be without you".

I also cried the first time I heard the Melborne 1980 verion of Sara. The way she just wails at the end.

And there's another recording of Sara, I want to say Cleveland from that same year. There's a bunch of bum notes and Stevie misses a few cues and goes off-key a little here and there, but the ending is really beautiful and she's so impassioned. I was on my way to a memorial of a friend who had died very suddenly, it was quite tragic, and that came on my CD player. During the vocal ad lib at the end she goes "...it never really died, never really died (and her voice totally begins to soar) ooooh it was such a heartbeat". I just lost it. I had to drive around the block a few times because I couldn't walk into the memorial with these tears streaming down my face.

I cried at Desert Angel the second or third time I heard it, which was April this year. Just the whole Gulf War thing, and the love she gave out to the soldiers really came out through the song.

Also, I think I cried at Beauty and the Beast -- on the album version and ALMOST at the Live at Red Rocks version [only the end, though, the last line].

And I think I nearly cried at Beautiful Child on Live in Boston. It was extraordinary.

I think they're the only three.

Anyone else?
Well there are alot of them, but for me, #1 is probably Gold Dust Woman, for this reason. It was the first song of Fleetwood Mac's I had ever heard at the age of 6 while riding in the car with my mother in the summer of 1977. I can still remember to this day at how without ever having heard them before, my attention was drawn to the radio. I asked my mom who is this, and she told me: Fleetwood Mac. And the rest, as they say, is history......

Oh. Also, Say Goodbye, but only on Live in Boston.

The album version was way too fast, the lyrics and emotion were completely lost because you hadn't a clue what the hell he's saying.

But the Live in Boston version was extraordinary. The fact that you could hear the words, and that he was singing it right across the stage to Stevie, and her just standing there staring at him, hands innocent behind her back, singing it right back ... it was amazing.

The first time I saw Lindsey do Red Rover live I cried too. Absolutely beautiful.
Sara always gets me, no matter what.
Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind
Say Goodbye
Goodbye Baby/The Tower (demo) bawling like a baby when I see it live
Love Is
I know there's others, but I'm getting very sleepy, and I can't think of 'em.

Welcome!

I got a little teary hearing my favorite song (Beautiful Child) live for the first time at the SYW dress rehearsal... I never saw that coming. Circle Dance on this tour was pretty poignant too.

Storms,Songbird and Oh Daddy. These are the three that make me cry the most, but there are so so many Mac songs that can make me cry depending on how they are relating to my life at that moment.
