Default Who saw Novak's hissy fit on CNN this afternoon?

I was watching the "Strategy Session" of CNN's Inside Politics this afternoon, and Robert Novak and James Carville were talking about something.

Carville, in keeping with his nature, interrupted Novak and started blasting Republicans or something. Novak was obviously frustrated, and said something to the fact that he didn't even feel like finishing what he was talking about...I do believe he also said "This is bullsh*t", referring to Carville's interruption and rant.

He (Novak) then stood up, removed his mic, and walked off the stage.

I thought that was fun :-)

Talking

sorry I missed it! I love it when stuff like that happens on TV. Carville can be pretty annoying though, but Novak let him "win" when he walked off the stage.

Thanks for the heads-up Josh! As soon as I see Novak on anything, I turn the channel. But now that CNN has basically given him the boot, I don't guess I have to worry about that anymore.

Lots of websites have the video, though. It's linked on just about every blog I read tonight.

CNN Suspends Robert Novak
CNN on Thursday suspended commentator Robert Novak after he blurted out the word "bull****" and stormed off the set during the live "Strategy Session" segment of Inside Politics. "Bob Novak's behavior on CNN today was inexcusable and unacceptable," a CNN spokeswoman said afterwards. "Mr. Novak has apologized to CNN and CNN apologizes to its viewers for his language and his actions." Novak's blow-up came as Novak was debating liberal commentator James Carville about Republican Congresswoman Katherine Harris' plan to run against Democratic Senator Bill Nelson for his Senate seat in Florida. Carville had just remarked to host Ed Henry that Novak has "got to show these right-wingers that he's got backbone, you know." Then, to Novak, "The Wall Street Journal editorial page is watching. Show 'em you're tough." Novak replied, "Well, I think that's bull****, and I hate that." In an interview with today's (Friday) New York Daily News, Novak said that Carville's remarks represented "an unacceptable questioning of my integrity. I overreacted ... I just got a little frustrated."

Senator Accuses Novak of Libel
Republican Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania has accused Robert Novak of libeling his top aide, Bettilou Taylor, when he "falsely and maliciously" accused her in his syndicated column of orchestrating a Senate hearing that grilled Kenneth Tomlinson, chairman of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, while her husband served as a consultant for the Association of Public Television Stations. "The hearing was my idea," Specter said in a statement. He added that if Novak had "taken the time to call me, the defamation could have been avoided; or, at least, the other side given. I know something about investigations, perhaps even about investigative reporting, which, as a matter of basic fairness, involves talking to both sides to find the facts."

Wasn't Novak mixed in with that scandal about The Washington Post journalist going to jail because she wouldn't reveal her source or something like that... She was't the one that outted the CIA agent.. it was Novak (I think) in his column... Am I right on that?

Incidentally, Mr. Novak is now on vacation. We've been able to get some pictures of Mr. Novak taking part in some leisure activities. Here's one of said pictures.

I think Novak jumped the shark the first time he opened his mouth.
