Vintage FM T-shirts

I have never seen this shirt before:

Is it authentic? It looks like it might be newer . . .

What vintage shirts do you have in your collection?

That t-shirt looks like a knock-off, bootleg, rip off....whatever you want to call it. There are a lot "fake" i.e. unofficially lisenced t-shirts out there. Some are nicer that the official t-shirts, and some of them are pure crap.

My first concert t-shirt was a fake, but was quite nice--black shirt featuring the large Penguin logo in full color. My most early is a blue shirt from the Tusk tour. I had a nice Mirage Tour T-shirt -- black with the french penguin --- for a minute. I let a friend wear it a day after the concert. A month later when I asked for it, she told me she lost it. That was back in 1982 and I still regret trusting her with it.

I still buy one t-shirt any time I go to a Fleetwood Mac/related show. Some of those designs really suck though! I never wear them anyway. l'd feel a bit silly.

Yes. I thought it looked a bit "clean". I often see the "fake" BN shirts, but have thought of buying one just becasue they are cool.

That sucks about your Mirage shirt. I see them on ebay occasionally. Right now my search is for a vintage Tusk shirt.

I don't know if they are fake or not. Look at his other auctions, he has alot of other vintage shirts, including another FM one. People are sure paying alot for them. I think they are pretty cool, even if they are fake. There's a bid for $150 on a Pink Floyd one

That Shirt Is Just Another Cheesy Fake, Sold On The Streets Outside Of The Concert Venue. The Bad Design Is Always A Dead Giveaway.

I Went To Several Shows On The Tusk Tour And I Can Assure You - That One Is Not The Real Deal.

The True Tusk Shirts Were Probably The Most Tasteful The Band Has Had Made For A Tour.

I'm going to say fake. Looking at the rest of his shirts, the art seems to run from the same artist. But, it is still a cool design!

I completely agree with you! I regrettfully didn't attend a Tusk Tour show. But about 18 years ago I was helping my aunt with a garage sale and discovered, apparently, that one of my cousins went to a show and bought a shirt. It looked like it had never been worn! I immediately grabbed it. Still have it today. But yeah, the material is very thin, so I can see how easily it would fall apart.

It sure looks fake to me.

I have a Behind The Mask Tour shirt in the wardrobe, never wear it anymore cause it's getting thin. And a shirt from the last tour which I do wear and like a lot.

Back when I used to buy the shirts, I'd buy either a cool-looking bootleg shirt in the parking lot or an official shirt for that venue/concert only. I have a shirt for the Hollywood Bowl shows on the Tusk tour as well as a shirt for the Irvine Meadows benefit on the Mirage tour, plus I have a Mulholland Tomorrow shirt from the benefit Stevie & Jackson Browne did in 1985. I love these types of shirts the best because the design is tailored to that specific show & the dates & guest stars are printed on it.

I have a long-sleeved white shirt from Christine's 1984 tour that I bought at Universal Amphitheatre, but it's a generic "complete tour" shirt.

Ya the problem with those vintage concert t-shirts is that they were VERY popular back in the day and people wore them a LOT. They were wardrobe staples. So most of them ARE thin.

I have The Mask too. It's a pretty shirt. I hardly wear it for the same reason, THIN. Well, I hardly wear my newer tshirts either cuz folks just don't wear them all the time like they used to.
