I don't know how hot it is.

I rarely go outside, but I'm sure we are in the 90s.

So do friends and I. Hot as crotch somehow doesn't seem as effective a way to convey said hotness

Right now here in Providence, RI.

Current Conditions Reported from Providence 07/22/2005 5:51 PM EDT
Temperature: 89°F 32°C
Conditions: Mostly Cloudy
Winds: SSW 12 MPH SSW 19 KPH
Relative Humidity: 46%
Barometer: 29.84 Falling
Visibility: 10.00 Miles 16.09 Kilometers

We had terrible humidity earlier in the week. 46% humidity is just fine with me. Don't even let me tell you about my experience in NYC this past weekend.

we've had anywhere from 107 to 112, maybe higher down in Chico...I live in the Mountains, so its supposed to be cooler but in my house w/o any air conditioning and with every window open and every fan going, its 96 degrees at least!

yesterday was nice, we had a bit of cloud cover, so we got a break but its working its way back up again..

I LIVE for the heat. I love it. Love the sun. Love the humidity. This has been the best summer in a long time - it's been sunny and frickin HOT as blazes here since at leats mid-June. Maybe earlier. Crazy hot - like upper 90s to over 100 F (though for us, it's actually in the mid to upper 30s C, with the occasional low 40s). I even go running in it.

Contrarily, I hate and detest the cold. If I never had to go out in winter, I'd be a happy camper (even though I hate camping. See other thread). My favourite thing about my house when I bought it (truly a major selling point) was the private access garage with an automatic opener. I think my core body temp is a degree or two colder than average, which is why I am hypersensitive to cold, and not affected by heat. My dream is to live in the desert.

I live for the heat, too, but July is always rainy here, and in August when it clears up I'm back to work & busy.

I'm not temped by the desert (I need trees!), but more power to you.

Cool Was hotter...

than expected today (108) and it is still pretty damn warm at 12:56am with a muggy 87...

Tomorrow it will feel like utter hell with an even warmer temperature here.

God, Winter cannot arrive any sooner...
