Two additions:

Pretty much anything at Danny's here in Buffalo, especially the Buffalo Chicken Wing Soup.

I tried buffalo while we were in UT in 2000. It was this shack-looking place, the guy cooked it outside & you sat out there on picnic tables. It turned out to be one of the best meals I've ever tasted.

First time I got it I didn't know what it was. I don't eat red meat - especially from a pig. That one & I forget the name of that squid thing they put on linguini, they both got me into the habit of always asking before I order.

Growing up, did your family do the whole seven fish thing on Christmas Eve? My grandmother used to through squid in a pot to let it cook. My cousin and I found it boiling over one year with it's tenticles and suction cups -- i've never touched it

I despise fish. Shellfish & squid are another story. Love it.

Appetizing.

No, my mom is the Italian, and we always spent holidays with my dad's side. They fixed ham, turkey, dressing, (which I hate) etc. My dad had never eaten Italian really until he and my mom got married.

I'm a bad Jew. I don't eat it just because I don't like it.

So that's the only reason you're a bad Jew?

That's the one. I used to be okay with octopus in sushi, but once I had calamari, I don't even touch the tentacles crap in sushi even.
Flashing back on the mom in Better Off Dead trying to keep the moving tentacles in the stove pot.

No, but before I was born my grandmother used to include the chicken heart and chicken feet in chicken soup for my grandfather and uncle.
I'd love a multi-fish meal, thank you.
