Yeah, Waylon's one I'd LOVE to have seen! I wasn't really into him until after his death.

I met John Waite in 2001. He was very nice. I got a promo copy of his album "Figure in a Landscape" at the party.

How long is the drive here? Could you leave early the day of the show?

Or call in sick?

You didn't miss much. They came here and I didn't think they had much stage presence. They'll be done soon, I can feel it!

Grateful Dead w/ Traffic: Especially since Jerry Garcia and Jim Capaldi are no longer with us.

Nirvana: But, in my defense, it the only time they palyed near me, the show sold out.
I was going to list Nirvana too. Once again, an ex had tickets. He wanted me to go even tho we weren't together, but I turned it down. They played at the local armory. He said Cobain never looked up, just stood and played with his head hanging, hair in his face and eyes closed. Within weeks he was dead. I never really got into Nirvana.

It's a 2 and a half to three hour drive - the only problem is only one full-timer is allowed to be off on any given day -and my news director is off that whole week - so we're all stuck here...

and I can't leave early because my day ends with my air shift - so I'm tied to the board from 4-6:30 - then I have to do a couple of recorded newscasts So it's pretty much a wash - can't go

^ What about that damn boat/ferry thing? Is that up & running again? I heard that takes less than an hour.

Awww. That DOES suck. If I was there, I'd fill in for you. The funniest thing? I totally could.

Damn. Thought we were going to get you here. Sorry you're going to miss Dolly... but, okay, just save the pennies for when Stevie comes back to Toronto...

The Ferry takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes And there is no trip that would get me there at the time I need - there are only two round trips running right now I think - ugh. I'm just not gonna be able to go.

I guess I will just save my $$ and definitely cross my fingers for a Stevie stop in Toronto!!

I am dying to see the Stones, but I just can't bring myself to fork over the money for the ridiculously expensive tickets!!!! I'm not sitting in the nosebleeds for $250 per ticket. It has been this way for five tours, and that is why I still haven't gone. I know I'm going to regret it though.

Also, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were in Nashville on Wednesday last week. I was dying to go, but I had to teach/run cheerleading camp for 100 girls. I live three and half hours from Nashville, so I just could not go and be back ready to cheer/dance at 8:30 A.M. I'm not a happy camper. I hope he tours again in the next few years.

Really? I thought it was a big time saver. What the hell's the point? No wonder the first owners went under.

LOL - well under the first owner it only took 1 hour 55 minutes!! Apparently - these guys are taking it a little slower to save money on fuel etc.

Well it takes like three hours to drive - so it's a small saver...I do want to take it eventually - it just can't get me to Toronto to see Dolly
