Oh... can you imagine... a retrospective of her career in song?

First with Lindsey, then John Stewart. I'm sure she'd have Mick up there for part of it. Tom Petty... Don Henley... Sheryl Crow (I'm not saying I'd like it all)... more Lindsey... more Lindsey... and a good dose of her solo. I couldn't even begin to compose a set list.

Can you just frickin imagine?

That? Is a show I'd consider dropping $1000 to see.

Her and Tom would do "Stop Draggin..." then she would do "Stand Back" with LB on guitar and Mick on drums, close with a 10 min. version of "Edge of 17" with Sheryl Crow on backup vocals along with Christine McVie would surpirse Stevie by walking out on stage during the set....top that.

I want the spotlight on songs that Stevie wrote. Remind the world what an amazing writer she is.

The all star jam is usually everyone else who was inducted right?
She should perform in no particular order:

Stop Draggin' My Heart Around with Petty
Edge Of Seventeen
Stand Back
If Anyone Falls
HAEWAFY
Rooms On Fire
Rose Garden
Sleeping Angel
Planets Of The Universe

I don't wnat anyone stealing her spotlight. Petty deserves to be on that stage with her though.

I will be extremely pissed if she is passed over this year. I wish we could put our two cents in. If she doesn't get in, that would be f*cked. I'm just waiting to see what's going to happen. I hope it's in NY so I can try to get a ticket. That would be so cool to have the balcony packed with Stevie-maniacs screaming our heads off when they induct her. Who should give the induction speech for her?

I have truly come to believe that Stevie will never get the recognition she deserves until she is dead, and then everyone who ever passed her in a hallway will be gushing about how great and talented she was and how they always thought that from the beginning. Don't even get me started cuz I could rant about this crap forever!
LOL. The Grammy's are freaking bogus. I'm so damn fed up with who they give awards to I can't even watch it anymore. Jamiriqui won over FM for The Dance. Where are they now??? Need I say more?

A lot of tremendously talented artists don't get inducted their first year of eligibility. If she doesn't get in this year, all is not lost... nor is it a reason to be too disappointed.

I do think she'll get in at some point in the not-too-distant future though.

I know but if you look at the female artists who've made an impact on music, there aren't many who have had the staying power and songwriting talent of Stevie. How many of the younger artists say she influenced them? Obviously Janis Joplin died prematurely but she didn't have that many hits. She was extremely influential to those who came after her, including SN. I have a hard time coming up with other women artists who should be inducted before she is, especially since her career began years before she went solo.

very true. I'd almost think they'd have to be blind and deaf not to induct. Also dumb.
