Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls,
Pop Goes The World, By Men Without Hats!

Johnny played guitar, Jenny played bass.
Name of the band is The Human Race.
Everybody tell me have you heard? Pop goes the world.
Jenny played keyboard, Johnny played drums,
Called Little Baby and a big Bonhomme
Everybody tell me have you heard? Pop Goes The World.
It goes something like this: (p p p pop)

Johnny and Jenny had a crazy dream,
See their pictures in a magazine.
Every little boy needs a girl.
Pop Goes The World.
Jenny and Johnny getting smart (it seems)
Made more money on a movie screen.
Every little nest needs a bird.
Pop Goes The World.

One two three and four is five,
Everybody here is a friend of mine.
Whatever happened to the Duke of Earl?
Pop Goes The World.
Six seven eight and nine is ten,
Send Al Gunn to see the doctor (Ben)
Say what planet are we on? The third!
Pop Goes The World.

And Every time I wonder where the world went wrong,
End up lying on my face going ringy dingy ding dong
And every time I wonder if the world is right,
End up in some disco dancin' all night.

Johnny played guitar, Jenny played bass,
Name of the band is The Human Race.
Everybody tell me have you heard? Pop Goes The World.
Johnny played guitar, Jenny played bass,
Ain't nobody couldn't take their place.
Everybody tell me have you heard? Pop Goes The World.....

You do know Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas was on that show? Also, Martika was on the show (she had that 80s song Toy Soldier out).

Jennifer Love Hewitt got her start on the show too, as did Eric Balfour. I still have the show on some old VHS tapes, I watch them when the mood strikes me so.

I can't believe you still have them all on video -- that's awesome though. I've always wanted The Disney Channel to replay them.

well, not ALL of them, lol.... a few from 1986, all of '87 and '88, and a few from '89. What I wouldn't give for eps from 1985, big hair and all.

I used to know a site that would actually post whole episodes of KI to download.... I still have a couple of them on my comp actually!

You Be Illin'!

Verse 1

(One) day when I was chillin' in Kentucky Fried Chicken
Just mindin' my business, eatin' food and finger lickin'
This dude walked in lookin' strange and kind of funny
Went up to the front with a menu and his money
He didn't walk straight, kind of side to side
He asked this old lady, "Yo, yo, um...is this Kentucky Fried?"
The lady said "Yeah", smiled and he smiled back
He gave a quarter and his order, small fries, Big Mac!
You be illin'

Verse 2

(To)day you won a ticket to see Doctor J
Front row seat (in free!) no pay
Radio in hand, snacks by feet
Game's about to start, you kickin' popcorn to the beat
You finally wake up, Doc's gone to town
Round his back, through the hoop, then you scream "Touchdown!"
You be illin'

Verse 3

The other day around the way I seen you illin' at a party
Drunk as skunk you illin' punk and in your left hand was Bacardi
You went up to this fly girl and said "Yo, yo, can I get this dance?"
She smelt your breath and then she left you standin' in your illin'
stance
You be illin'

Verse 4

(For) dinner, you ate it, there is none left
It was salty, with butter and it was def
You proceeded to eat it cos you was in the mood
But holmes you did not read it was a can of dog food!
You be illin'
Brilliant.
I hear Stevie was going to drop Rock & Roll and do this.

It began in the late 80s and lasted until the mid 90s -- a little after your time.
